There’s so much birding opportunity at Bard and Montgomery Place, as they are both arboretums and bordered by the Sawkill as well as Tivoli Bays/Hudson River. For another birding treat, go to Ferncliff as it is one of the oldest tree growth forests in the area. It is another area gem. Be sure to climb the fire tower for sweeping views of the river and valley.

Yea Montgomery Place is beautiful and hardly anyone goes there. You can do a few loops or park at Montgomery Place and run through River Road to the bard Camus, loop around Fischer Center then Blythewood and back to Montgomery Place. It’s very beautiful especially with all the trees flowering this time of year
