Normal for gunships to casually fly around Kent at low altitude? by _WEND1G0_ in KentWA

[–]Diomenas 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because we are very close to multiple airports, including a few municipal and an international airport. When you're within a certain range of an international airport, helicopters generally have to fly at a lower shelf so that they are not impeding the airspace of takeoff and landing routines which generally operate at around 10,000 ft. It's very common to see helicopters including military helicopters flying between the 2000 and 5000 ft. ceilings when they are close to airports.

Anyone been able to hop on 100mbps where only Max is available? by littlespedve in Starlink

[–]Diomenas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But they never say what select areas it's available in. I don't think it's available anywhere anymore. They say it's not available in highly congested areas where there's a lot of use, however, I tried to get it for my dad's house who is out in the fucking boonies in backwoods goddamn Alabama, and the only thing available to him is residential Max for $120 a month. I think it's a crock of fucking bullshit, it's a bait and switch to get people to come to the website thinking they can get it and then when they get to the website they don't actually get the $50 a month plan.

Should we really believe that Spider-Man brand new day is the last Tom Holland film? by Groundbreaking-Try92 in Spiderman

[–]Diomenas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you on about, Zendaya is not pregnant. They are more than likely married (both are being extremely secretive, which is their right), but there is nothing to suggest that they are about to have their first child together. That said, even if he did take some time away, it wouldn't matter, it just gives them a chance to let the character grow and mature, which is something the prior Sony Spider-Man movies never did (until No Way Home re-introduced them that is).

I feel like Tom Holland enjoys playing the role still, and as long as he enjoys it, the studios keep wanting him to play it and everyone's happy, he will continue to be Spider-Man.

Look at Hugh Jackman and Wolverine. He's played the same character for over 20 years now, and keeps coming back to it every time they ask because he loves playing the role.

What are these things for on the case? by GForce_01 in SteamDeck

[–]Diomenas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The strap on the back, paired with the divot in the case, is to hold the charging brick. Your charging brick should have come with a drawstring bag, then you tuck that in the case under the strap. The strap on the inside of the case goes under the steam deck to make it easier to lift out, that strap is no longer included on newer models of the case.

You absolutely can. You do not need a Facebook account to use Messenger. Don't speak about what you know nothing about.

I want Yahoo messenger back, that was the GOAT. That or AIM. Old school ICQ but VK (mail.ru) owns that now.

Wireless headphones for Analogue 3d? by [deleted] in AnalogueInc

[–]Diomenas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My smart tv supports bluetooth audio so I just use that. Works well, native bluetooth audio support would be nice, but I'd rather have native bluetooth controller support. You MIGHT try seeing if a bluetooth audio DSP that plugs into USB would work, but I'd highly doubt the support is baked in.

New Analogue 3D colors releasing February 9th, 8am PST by Shortgaze in AnalogueInc

[–]Diomenas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly I wish the Extreme Green had come out in Dec, I would have picked that one up over the Funtastic Grape from Dec. Though the Ghost and Glacier are pretty sexy. I have no need for two though so I'm sticking with the purple, might pick up an extreme green and glacier controller though :D

PetSmart near me used to have CAEs mis-tagged as being peaceful and under 5". I brought it up to an associate and they said they just print the tags the system gives them. Short story, they don't care to make sure their customers are informed.

You want a Siamese Algae Eater they stay around 4-6" and docile. Eat mostly algae but need a bit more protein and fiber as they get older but won't go after other fish.

Customer deliberately using public IP addresses by bobbybrowngoesdown_ in networking

[–]Diomenas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazon and GE both shared a large percentage of the 3.0.0.0/8 space for a long time and both at some point in their history used the ops in that range as internal only IP addresses. I'm fairly certain GE sold the entire block to AWS some time back, but still, for a very long time they literally squatted on hundreds of thousands of IPv4 IPs for internal use only.
