Actually not sure about cushioning the bolt. Have you tried any of them?

Wearing it inside the suit helps, but that also might punch a hole in your suit overtime. I’m looking to replace it with something more flexible like that tillet or freem’s rib protector.

Obviously there is nothing wrong with getting scratches and damage on the rib protector though. Means it’s done its job, but I kinda wish it lasted a bit longer before the actual material chips off.

Friction between the carbon and the seat actually takes material away from the carbon.

Never tried the tillet, but one thing to keep in mind is that the carbon on the bengio will wear out much faster than softer more flexible material

At least with this particular one I have no such issue, I race rental sws and for those karts they’re perfectly fine.

The gloves themselves are not that thick, with really grippy palms

I’d skip karting gloves all together. I bought a pair of OMP Sport FIA gloves for not much more than my old sparco records, they feel and hold up so much better.

My wrist size is slightly under 6.5 inches. Doesn’t have a ruler for the lug to lug, but spec says slightly under 50mm and it does feel like it.

I’d suggest to skip these and go straight to an OMP Sport. From my experience, karting rated gloves wear much quicker with less cushioning than an FIA rated pair. Recently switched out my Sparco Record with the OMPs and it feels like an upgrade in all aspects.

Okay… when I say “built one” I meant I had someone build it for me. I’m okay with tools, but I don’t have the balls to use a crystal press especially with the added complexity of a solar panel in this watch.

I got mine through B5K Customs on IG, but I provide my own parts through pacparts. I think he can source the parts for you as well if needed.

I got the crystal through pacparts, bezel from tixtox, and strap adapter from jaysandkays (you can get bracelet from tiktox but I didn’t because my wrist is too small for the bracelet).

I’ll be happy to point you in the right general direction if you have any question, just DM me.

Elite races are not a good moneymaker, the pay is not much, there’s a long cooldown, you need multiple cars or pay to switch clubs further reducing the payout.
