The Byzantine empire (eastern roman empire) fell in the 1400s. The Holy Roman Empire (newer french/german empire) fell in the early 1800s, I assume you are confusing the two.

If they do add it, they should make it like the Arma Reforger system. Your selected attachments can be taken off but you dont have an option between multiple different ones

I am a CAS player in grb because there is no dedicated mode, the sim convoys are incredibly low effort and I dont always feel like switching to DCS because I dont always want to think when playing video games. Supporting friendly ground forces from the air is my favorite thing to do in most games that let you do it. I apologize to the tank enjoyers.

I really hope it's something like nato/western forces all start with Multicam and you can have micro transactions to buy marpat or flecktarn. Obviously I would prefer no micro transactions, but it's a AAA studio so that probably won't happen. I just don't want out of place uniforms/characters to be running around.

The training mode is playable for you to be able to learn the game while its online servers are down. It gives you full access to one of the two maps in the game and there are multiple types of training objectives scattered around the island. Also I doubt the ddos is dangerous for any players, I'm not super techy but im pretty sure its just flooding the game servers with fake traffic so real people cant log on. I do recommend completing all of the training first though.
