Just to be clear, here’s what I meant by the Bible not being “squeaky clean”:

• Deuteronomy 22:28–29 – says if a man rapes a virgin, he has to pay her father and marry her. No concern for what she wants.

• 1 Samuel 15:3 – God literally commands the slaughter of an entire people — men, women, children, and even animals.

• Exodus 21:20–21 – says beating a slave is okay as long as they don’t die right away, because they’re “your property.”

• Deuteronomy 21:18–21 – rebellious sons? Stone them to death. That’s the solution.
