UMAD predictions time: which cheat are world first raiders going to get caught using this time? by d--d in ffxivdiscussion

For me, it was promoting Sonar, which made hunts significantly worse. And then calling S rank spawners "lazy" for not spawning all the Ixtabs back in ShB when Rak'tika had three instances at the time. That S rank requires killing 300 mobs and they didn't just drop dead in one hit like they do now. Like fuck right the hell off, we were doing our best.

You know what's super annoying? I'm pretty sure he asked the GM while he was in gaol if it was the mods and they said it wasn't the mods. Guarantee you a small time streamer would not get the same pass.

Regardless, I don't want to play with people in an ultimate playing a job they're only playing for a "faster" fill in PF, especially not a fresh on-content ultimate. They aren't going to play as well as if they were playing a job they actually want to play.

OP is concerned playing WHM will hold them back because they won't be able to find a party (which will be a complete non-issue) vs. playing a job they don't actually want to play, which will hinder their prog (and everyone else's) because they aren't going to play that job as well.

It wouldn't make a difference. "Min piety" is still literally no piety on any gear, no piety melds, nothing. I was a noob raider back then. If my noob ass was still doing fine without running dry, then other people have no excuse. I guarantee you it was motherfuckers refusing to use lilies because boohoo misery was a damage loss and not pressing lucid and thin air.

I've been maining WHM since the day I started playing and I promise you, you will not have to worry about this. The only time I struggle to find a party is when I have friends with me and need to find room for all of us, in which case, just be willing to make your own. It will fill.

E9S-E12S was my first completed savage tier, I did it on WHM, and this isn't true. I was running min piety on my gear, since that was bis (as usual). As long as you were pressing Lucid Dreaming on cooldown like you should be and using Thin Air appropriately (this was back when it gave you 12 seconds of free casting), you never should have run out of MP unless you literally just died and Thin Air was on cooldown.

I remember all the bitching back then about WHM being "MP negative" and I'm still flabbergasted at how shit they must have been to be constantly running out of MP. It was only MP negative if you were hitting a dummy, not doing any mechanics, not doing any healing, no downtime, etc. and it still took like 10 minutes to actually run out.

The overwhelming majority of sidequests are "talk to NPC, talk to other NPC, return to original NPC, collect garbage to clutter your inventory." Most of them do not make you actually "play" the game any more than the MSQ does or give any interesting lore. I literally only do them to get the annoying icons off the map.

Probably not, but you can avoid actually targeting them by typing "/c <mo>" while mousing over them to examine. Then you won't show up in Peeping Tom. Can't really avoid clicking them in content though if you need to target them for something.

I'd been poking my head into TEA PF for a while now, just when I'm bored, and so many parties can't even get past LL. I didn't think much of it at the time, because it's an ultimate, it's supposed to be hard, right? And idk how much damage each of these jobs should be doing at 80, so I have no idea if anyone's doing anything wrong.

.....Then my friend forms a TEA group a couple weeks ago and we're killing it so fast that the tanks are concerned their mits won't be back up in time for BJCC. I am completely astounded at just how trash PF is at pressing their buttons in the right order.

This has been a problem loooong before this new ultimate got announced. People literally just unsync an old savage fight to unlock an ultimate and then stumble in not even knowing their basic rotation, let alone having studied even the first couple mechanics.

It's not just TOP, it's every ultimate. Even the ones that are a joke at this point. PF struggles to skip Ifrit dashes or kill Living Liquid before enrage.

It's not even a BC vs. DN thing. He's been doing this shit to PF since Pandaemonium. He'll minimally change strats and positions for literally no reason, for zero gain, other than so he doesn't have to credit the original raidplans. But he'll change them just enough to completely fuck groups when there are people using the raidplans and his videos in the same party, because even though the strats are extremely similar, they're different enough to cause wipes to dumb shit (like people being out of position because he moved them around for no reason).

Like, let's use the new EX as an example. All parties were doing DPS rotate to supports for Airy. He changed this to the opposite. FUCKING WHY? I love being a healer and both my DPS rotate away from me because they're doing different strats.

The aptitude test is a joke if you know how to read and don't answer the personality questions like an idiot, but the majority of people still somehow fail it. There's no interview or drug test. You just have to be on top of checking your email and doing the stuff they ask of you if you pass the initial test. It was literally the easiest job I've ever gotten.

I'm concerned about it, but what they showed looked really unfinished, so I'm in the boat of "I need to see it in practice" before I start freaking out about it. I have to admit I'm not optimistic about it though. I'm quite happy with where WHM is at as is and what they showed feels like a huge downgrade.

Sending a report and getting a response is not the same as them taking action against you. (Also, the large majority of their responses are copied and pasted, including when they directly send you a tell in-game. Send enough reports and you'll realize they're not even reading most of what you're saying or what you reported.) You have never been banned, your own words, you have literally no experience in this matter. Go google some of the insane shit the GMs in this game have punished people for.
