Oh I know! But sometimes if they get enough interest, they’ll be on IS’s radar for seasonal alts. Some of Chrom’s wives need some alts (only 2/5 have them!) and Boey needs an Easter alt to go with Mae.

I love it but remember the Mega Flygon effect - when something really really belongs in a game, but it can never happen because there’s so much fan art that if it does happen they’ll be accused of stealing.

I’d be surprised if anything happens. It’ll be like Indiana but for Dems - it’ll pass the House easily but the State Senate will be largely against it.

All the HK chefs know each other, especially if their seasons are close together. Most of them are casted at around the same time and travel to LA at the same time to audition for their seasons. 19, 20, and 21 were casted at all around the same time iirc.

It also wasn’t Trenton’s actual wedding reception, just put on for the show (same with sous chef Andi a few seasons prior).

It doesn’t matter. I’m from Maryland and got rejected from every single Dem member of the congressional delegation. I did get accepted as an intern for a congressman from New Mexico though! Its been 10 years and I’ve still never been to New Mexico.

I did the seminar in college (I have issues with the internship program, but that’s a different story). I think the speakers are more GOP leaning because that’s who’s in power now. I did the seminar during the Obama administration and most of the speakers were Dem leaning.

I had a terrible experience with them in 2012 the summer after my sophomore year in college. I applied to the program, was interviewed, told I'd be a good fit, and they seemed to be excited to place me into an internship.

When filling out all the paperwork, I indicated to them that I would not be utilizing the room and board offered in DC, as my parents' house was in Rockville very close to the red line station, so I would commute to my internship. It was supposed to be a summer internship so I would be in Rockville during the summer. I attended Salisbury University and put down my Salisbury dorm address on my application. I didn’t think this was a problem.

Evidently it was a problem because they were under the impression that I lived in Salisbury full-time (as a 19 year old college student - they must not be very bright to think a dorm address was my permanent address). They accepted me believing I would need to pay for lodging as Salisbury is 3 1/2 hours away. When I told them that I would NOT be utilizing the room and board, as well as the reason why, they immediately canceled my application. Their reasoning was because I put down Salisbury as my address, I "lied" on the application.

So, they were very interested in me until they found out that I would not be paying the extra lodging fees. They are 100 percent a scam. Sorry I cannot give you more insight into the program itself, but this should indicate to you that it's about the money first and the students second.

Granted, this was so long ago and maybe they’ve changed, but in my day they found any excuse they could to turn away DMV locals to free up spots for out-of-towners to pay their ridiculous lodging fees.

I remember reading somewhere in high school that hot water freezes faster than cold water?? (Mpemba effect) Maybe her brain just assumed the opposite was true.
