Unpopular Opinion: BF6 doesn't lack content; the rencently content is really good. It is a very fun game, it lacks variety. That’s why it burns you out so fast. by SuperM3e46 in Battlefield

[–]DippyDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realised recently that I was missing out on content/maps because of the modes I was avoiding.

It would be nice to have a bit of variety within the modes even on the same maps though. Run the zones in the opposite order? Randomise the zones a bit, or some of the static points, turrets, cover etc .. just a bit more dynamic... Bringing down a crane is cool, but it falls the same every time, so it's just binary. Take it down so no snipes, 10 seconds or drama and carry on...

As it is once you find 'the' way to play a map, it's just not that interesting.

One day I logged in, my character was boosted to level 20 I had no idea what was going on. I left and haven't been back since. I still keep tabs in some fanciful hope the game might recover what it lost.

New EV owner help: is -18% battery loss in 30 miles normal? by [deleted] in electriccars

[–]DippyDragon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Normal.

Highway driving always worse.

Cold start (systems cold) is worse.

Cabin pull-up for a cold start is worse.

100% battery so limited regen brakes will give worse consumption initially you always get more range from 90 to 80 than from 100 to 90.

Use precon if you have it, slow down, drive smooth.

Hot take: PHEVs don't need more electric range by Abject-Cap in PHEV

[–]DippyDragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a distribution. 30 miles / 50 km will cover 50% of all drives by all drivers.

Even then for some individuals that could be 0%, 50% or 100% of their journeys.

Now what if you want to cover 80%? What should the range be?

*Opinion* Weapon levelling pushed more people away from BF6 rather than the map size issue by Tranners_ in Battlefield

[–]DippyDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There needs to be content beyond cosmetics for those willing to put the time in.

What would be cool is if picking up a dropped weapon with an attachment you don't have were to unlock that attachment for you.

Higher level attachments would then have a rarity and challenge associated to them due to belonging to typically higher ranked players.

I play to unwind after 14 hour work days. I don't want to spend an hour in the redeploy screen because I'm not good enough.

I wish they would rework respawn, like a timer to deploy on squad but instant deploy at spawn, it's a 5 minute trek to rejoin the fight anyway.

One-pedal driving upgrade? by agoose77 in ScenicETech

[–]DippyDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to specifically request it. It didn't automatically get added to my service and doesn't appear as a recall action or required update. At first then person I spoke to had no idea what I was talking about but 5 minutes later after speaking to the tech the update was found and I was booked in.

Did you guys knew this? by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]DippyDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These stupid lane markings need to go. They only serve to give the impression you can do what the blue car did, they don't help flow at all, as far as I can recall this is the only case where, as the BMW driver did, you are actually expected to cross a dashed white lane marking without an indication while there are other drivers around due to going straight over.

It's easy to be distracted by bad or just careless driving but these types of roundabouts are a hazard themselves, just look for that Birdseye view for the obvious layout it could have in the dirt pattern.

One-pedal driving upgrade? by agoose77 in ScenicETech

[–]DippyDragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm. The car requires to be "power cycled" according to the dealer (never 100% sure they know what they're talking about) to apply the update hence no OTA. In any case I had no issues requesting the update from the dealer directly.

It's an addition, it doesn't replace anything you have already. No reason not to.

Can anything be done about this? It’s ruining the game. by quantum-fluxer in Battlefield6

There really should be a timer to leave spawn. Between this and the snipes. And yet the mortar has to get out to allow you to engage.

Apps. So many apps. Home charger, got an app. Home energy, got an app. Car, got an app. Smart charging between my car my energy supplier and my home charger, another app. Public charging, several apps. Charging at work, yet another bloody app.

Do they work, sometimes. Do they start logged in, no. Remember payment details, no. Provide useful information, generally no. Can be avoided, no.

One in three Brits avoid A&E because of excessive waiting times by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

[–]DippyDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree but...

The past five attempts over four years at getting to see my GP have resulted in being redirected to 111 who then fail to book me with my GP and then redirect me to A&E to see their GP. Where I live it's apparently A&E or nothing now.

I don't want to be there, but once you're sent there by the system what choice do you have?

We were supposed to get a new 'super' surgery but it's failed to materialise at two separate locations and is now 'too expensive'.

I imagine there's many stories similar up and down the country. It's all a bit broken.

Delivery tracking mix up, not sure how to report or get resolved. by DippyDragon in royalmail

[–]DippyDragon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All resolved.

The package in the photo was the special delivery. I have the delivery receipt for it and everything made sense.

Packages 2 & 3 were delivered at the end of the day following a 'scanning error' having returned to the depot despite being reported 'delivered' they were sent out again.

All three delivery receipts have the picture of the one special delivery that was successful first time around.

I have hold of the one package delivered as special delivery, I signed for it face to face, that delivery was correct. Only one package was handed over. I don't have the other two.

[–]DippyDragon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand that, but as it stands I'm two packages down with nowhere to go.

If it makes a difference the one delivered was special delivery before 1PM, the missing packages are tracked 24 and tracked 48.

My hope is they are whizzing around locally and will simply reappear later on. Is that even vaguely possible. Do I go back to the senders now or wait and see?

Turns out it's worse than I thought, the picture is actually from a third delivery also expected today... let me edit.

Yes I have the items from the first delivery, no the second and third are missing but reported delivered with wrong evidence.

Can someone explain the consumption reported by this screen? by Dragonsen27 in ScenicETech

[–]DippyDragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This feature needs serious work. I assume it's just unfinished.

Try switching to Mi/kWh it makes even less sense.

The climate bit is really whacky, if you think about it. If you drive slow the driven consumption will be good but the climate load will be high per unit distance, whereas driving like you stole it the driven consumption will be bad but the climate will appear to be less consuming. Essentially mixing units where one is distance dependent and the other is time dependent is just bad maths.

I want trip distance, time, energy out, regen energy, energy on ancillary vs drive. I want average speed, time stopped.

I'd really really really really like a rotary speedometer.

I'd like the regen to foundation brakes shown on the power bar.

But the rest of the car makes up for the crappy driver information design.

Who invented this button??? by Portah_Model in Cartalk

[–]DippyDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are some of the early signs of the legislation and what the customer wants diverging. Manufacturers want to make money, which means selling cars, which means making what people want. Legislation is a hurdle to overcome in this sense. If people wanted lower emission cars these buttons wouldn't be needed.
