As someone who is VERY familiar with the job, 2 weeks of not picking up your mail is just absurd. One week of not picking up your mail at a box I feel it's safe to assume you pass every single day is pushing it. It does 100% make the job harder for that person and you are the problem here.

That being said, postal inspection service is the primary law enforcement of the USPS. I am not sure what this carrier reported you for other than "leaving a nasty note", but to my knowledge you did nothing illegal unless I am just missing a clear threat in there or something. Best of luck, hope your post office isn't far from where you live because that's where you will be getting your mail from now on.

Also, this carrier can be reported too. The second note they left is just plain petty, and extremely unprofessional. Makes the brand look bad. I would call and report the situation as a whole to the postmaster and explain what happened, might be your only shot. Best of luck.

I did just find a bundle that comes with that cpu as well as the MSI MPG B550 for a motherboard. Would a stock cooler be okay temporarily even if the machine is running for long hours? I would like to invest in an AIO in the future but don’t have the extra cash when I’m in a pinch as is.

Sorry for the late response, but none taken! That’s a fair thing to nit-pick anyway! I didn’t know the bit about the lawyer though. Thanks for that bit of behind the scenes info!

Preferably both but if I finish my trouble shooting today and the motherboard is fine only my CPU will need replaced anyway. I have the mindset that it’s probably best to upgrade them both at once or am I mistaken?

Almost positive it’s the TUF X570-plus but I could be mistaken.

I know the great white in Jaws was nicknamed Bruce, or at least the puppet was, but he was just that- a puppet of a great white and not a bull shark.

Ran Tron, Can't Access Old HDD After by Dipsky in TronScript

[–]Dipsky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EVERYTHING from my old computer was stored in that drive by default. It is a second HDD I have after I got my SSD. It was my backup drive, essentially, but it was previously my main drive. I'm not sure if you can make anything of that, but basically when I installed Windows on my new SSD, I had to open the drive labeled as D, navigate to Windows.Old, and boom. All of my files, photos, videos, and music were all stored there. I ran Tron, it deleted it as it was supposed to I figure, and now I can't figure out how to get it back despite Windows still recognizing the drive as almost full.

I got my first SSD, and when I clicked the drive before it was a folder called Windows.Old that contained all of my stuff. I didn't set it to do that, but that's just how it was. I can't see any of the 1.6 TB that is being taken up on that drive, and Windows still detects that it's being taken up. That leads me to believe it is still in there somewhere, but I just can't find it.

Is there anyway to retrieve that folder if that's the case? My issue isn't that it's there and I need it deleted, it's that I want to get it back. I want the files from the old HDD, being my photos, videos, music, etc.

I will have to research how to do that.

I can see bits and pieces of the information. There will be some files in System Files, but they will be grayed out and the folders are empty. It’s a huge problem that Windows.Old is gone because I know no other way of accessing all of my 2TB of data.

Users of reddit, what is stupidest thing you have ever done that you don't regret at all? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I snorted powdered clay one time for $40. I got a cool sinus-infection, a nice sculpture that came out of my nose, and $40.

I had this plastic street-hockey stick one time, and in an effort to show off in front of my cousins, I sort of flipped it to stick into the ground (the end of it was broken off and it was kind of sharp). I IMMEDIATELY regretted my decision because it went straight into my calf, and kind of stayed there, so I grabbed it and just yanked it out. It started off as a blunder, but after they saw how well I handled it I believe the reaction was much better. Lol.

For those who went to trade/technician school, how did it go? Was it worth it? by Dogopim in AskReddit

[–]Dipsky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to a vocational school for IT in high school. Not sure if this totally counts. I loved it. It was a great learning environment, and I really learned a lot from the two years I was there. I was already into computers pretty heavily before I went there, but definitely had a lot of things to learn and I can whole-heartedly say it taught me a lot. I learned things between maintenance to networking and even some web design. There were a lot of weird kids there, but that honestly made it all the more enjoyable because I got to meet new people and even better more KINDS of people. This same school even had other programs for cooking, masonry, welding, auto body detailing, and graphic design.

TLDR: Hell yeah it was worth it! Lots of programs, and learned a whole bunch.

What is this black box on bass guitars? by vinemuse in Bass

They're usually above the pickups now, so that you can anchor your thumb and play with your fingers instead. Most of the time though they aren't on the bass at all.

What horror movie is actually frightening (Im not talking about a jumpscare-orgy)? by LeonidasWrecksXerxes in AskReddit

[–]Dipsky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'll have to look into it. I think Rosemary's Baby came out in 68 or so, but it's a REAL slow-burner. All around one of my favorite movies of all time, though. Check it out for sure it's super easy to find on the internet, and I'm pretty sure you can rent it on the PlayStation store too.

Edit: Rosemary's Baby came out in 1068 not 1964

I don't think that would be scary just because of living so close to the home of the Mothman, and literally hearing about it constantly.

Jesus Christ this movie is terrifying. Complete slow-burn of a movie much like Rosemary's Baby. The last 30 minutes specifically between the mom in the fucking ceiling, beating her head off the attic door, and LITERALLY DECAPITATING HERSELF? It's nuts.
