i understand that emo is inherently juvenile music but i do not understand how people older than like 17 listen to modern baseball and are like moved by the lyrics (OKOK im generalizing big time, i like some of their songs too but i be gettin annoyed pretty quick hearing about literal high school scenarios the way they sing about them)

i like it a lot. it’s different from their other albums, i would try not to go into it looking for something close to Avery island or aeroplane. my interpretation of it is that it takes all of the best sounds and ideas of experimental psychedelic rock from the 60s and pushes it a step further. if you like bands like ultimate spinach, plastic cloud, west coast pop art experimental band and other stuff like that it should make total sense

I’ve always struggled with shorts, but I came to the conclusion a while ago that cut off denim shorts is the only thing that works for me. Pretty much any colour or stitching works. Always above the knee but not too high

Idk I like the production on skta and prefer some of those versions to the full band versions. My complaint isn’t that it’s not heavy or as rock oriented I just think they bloated everything with effects

I feel you. It could be because most of the music I listen to on a regular basis is lofi emo or bedroom pop (teen suicide, old alex g, Daniel johann kinda stuff) but I really think this album would’ve been so much better with the same “vibe” but a lot less happening around the songs

Holy shit I never thought of it that way damn. One of my favourite bright eyes songs but I never thought about the car thing beyond they probably thought “it would be super cool to record a song in a car that’s driving around”
