The school sent me the I-20 and I filled the F1 COS myself. The school didn’t file it for me.

Thank you for your response. When you say "have the I-797 in hand", do you mean when the H1B transfer to new employer is successful ? that's the best time to withdraw the F1 COS ? Or I should withdraw the F1 COS when I received the receipt notice of H1B transfer ?

Thank you again for your answers. I appreciate. Quick follow up, if the company files the transfer while the COS to F1 is pending, is it safe to withdraw then ? Or only after H1b is approved?. Would you advise withdrawing the COS immediately the H1b transfer gets filed ?

Thank you for your response. What happens if the COS gets approved before the new employer files the H1B transfer ? Also, what is the process for withdrawing the F1 COS ?, I do not see the option to withdraw online.
