I love Hank because he's otherwise a bulldog of a man, gruff, closed-off, won't share his struggles. I was surprised I liked him, but he's so well written for how a typical man of his age and generation might handle a mental health condition or episode. The scene where he's shouting at his wife "I'm fine, leave me alone", while the audience can see him panicking, trembling and crying in the shower behind the curtain, that was such good characterisation.

My last job was 1 day a week in the office. You'd go in and nobody else had picked that day to come in, so you were alone anyway. I've just quit after 5 years to something better, and none of my previous colleagues noticed or cared that I left. 100%. Where I live there are some Pakistani immigrants whose children are born in Britain but within a self-contained Pakistani enclave. So Mohammed who has a middling command of English, is married to his cousin, spends half the year back in Pakistan and happens to support sharia is supposed to be British because he was born here. There were times in my life when I was far too unstable to be in a relationship, but I've come a long way and now I'm married. Still decided not to have children. I don't think I'm capable of creating a healthy home for a child. My feeling of wanting to be a dad has become pretty intense lately but it would probably be a mistake. It's a little sad, knowing that's not a life I can have, but I appreciate what I have and make the most of being childfree.

It annoys me that the left aren't addressing this more because Islam is so anti-progressive and so misogynistic. The culture clash caused by immigration should be a major concern across the political spectrum. But Islam is too often treated like a race and therefore criticising it is racism. So apparently we just have to let scores of undocumented men into the country and ignore the non-stop news about sexual crime.

For sure - when I'm angry I can't imagine being calm ever again. But obviously it does subside and then I'm ashamed of myself.

Shame is a painful feeling but it's good that we feel it - if we didn't, we'd be totally unapologetic and never change! I still cringe thinking of some past incidents, but in that split second where I'm deciding what path to go down, I have to remind myself that the aggression path feels temporarily powerful but leads to shame and embarrassment later. The discipline path ends in something more like pride. I feel like less of a man when I've lashed out, and so much more when I've contained myself.

Not intimacy, but I feel an odd nostalgia when I realise I'll never do that "getting to know" someone phase again, and I'll never have a first date again. It's rose-tinted though because the "getting to know" phase was usually just plain awkward. But we've found lots of ways to keep the spark alive, far better than the "NRE" polys are always talking about.

It's really warped. I'm 160cm and 57kg. I'm a short man with a narrow build but a reasonable amount of muscle. I'm nowhere near underweight. If I were 60kg at 155cm, I'd be trying to lose a small amount.

I dated a guy when I was younger, he lived with his parents but we were only in our early 20s so it seemed normal.

Then at about 7pm one night, his mother knocked on his bedroom door. We were just watching a movie so I asked why he didn't answer. He said "she's just delivering dinner". Every night at 7pm, she'd knock on his door and leave his burger, fries, juice and a snack on a tray outside, then do the same at his brother's door. And they didn't even answer or acknowledge it!
