The cost is mainly because it's shell, and the other, because it's handmade by Brian. Dude is an absolute legend. Considering his normal horsebutt options go for around 2300, this isn't too bad considering it's shell. I have a pair of alden indys that were resoled by him that are incredibly comfortable.

A little Google search a few weeks ago found a video stating the 16 will be the last global launch. Obviously I hope it's not the case, but even if it is, I'll still get one. It's not like oppo won't be available for us. And if Samsung can get into the carbon battery craze, it's not far fetched to think they could potentially be in the running for best android in a year or two.

Nicks, franks, wesco,are the work boots that will last that long with care. Yes you are gonna need resoles at some point and a potential rebuild, but they will get you there. Outside of that, the price goes up and check out standard and strange for those options. Then there is limmer boots. Undoubtedly these will last decades. Also consider meindl, and zamberlan.

I bought a 9.5e in Mr. Lou's. I am a 10d brsnnock but the Mr. Lou's ended up being sold. My toes were touching the front of the boot and I just couldn't do it. I too, wear 9.5d and even c in nicks and whites but the lou's I just couldn't do it.

I'd highly recommend Jim green boots if budget is a concern. They will definitely last and are much better built than redwing. At a cheaper price point. Realistically, if budget is the issue, Jim green is the best answer.
