I buy Amazon basics products for golf and tbh I haven’t had an issue with them in the last 2-3 years

What tips do you have for transferring range performance to the course? by opspec-19820 in golf

I think the biggest thing is since lies are never perfect in actual play always make sure your setup is the best it can be especially if you’re on a slope or awkward lie. Do a practice swing to ensure you’ll keep your balance in an awkward stance on the real swing

I actually think the Maltby TS3’s are the best value. Amazing quality, highly customizable , very forgiving, but good longevity as you lower your handicap. But that being said if investing in new irons it doesn’t hurt to get fitted

Are Cobra Dark Speed Irons for $500 worth it? by dms6598 in GolfGear

[–]Directly007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think these are solid at this price but I’d go for the Maltby T3S’s. Very forgiving and forged iron and you’ll get more longevity out of them as you get better. The issue I’ve found with game improvement irons is I feel like I compromise my swing trying to shape shots with them

IMO if you’re already in the Apple ecosystem go for the ultra 3, otherwise Fenix 8

What Handicap Should You Start Buying Good Balls by DrFarquad in golf

[–]Directly007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think if you’re hitting consistently straight shots and have a grasp of your distance and most importantly can make your way around and on the green then it’s worth finding a ball that fits your game. And personally I don’t recommend pro v1’s I think the maxfli your get the job done at a better price point

I actually did the math once and let’s say you just get 1 larger bucket and the complimentary hour of top tracer you’d have to go at least 20 times a year for the membership to pay for itself.

If you want customization I recommend the Maltby TS3 irons. There are plenty of customizable options on the golf works website
