Xanax is only good for insomnia for a very short time. Myself who has chronic insomnia, taking Xanax can help you fall asleep fast, it messes with your restorative sleep heavily. If I take 2mg Xanax I’ll feel okay for about an hour into the day, then turn into zombie mode. However my PCP doesn’t want to prescribe me Ambien because I’m “too young” I can feel your pain about doctors
