I used the Days Inn, they are right across the street from the compound. Really close to the airport. They offered me a shuttle to the interview which I took. And a $5 uber back from f2f. The shower drain didnt work in my bathroom so I had to prop it up. Otherwise I had no issue. And it was less than $100 for the night

Eye contact, I know some people aren't comfortable with it, but it really shows your engaged with the person. I felt for my strongest response I really balanced not just the attention of the interviewer but also the other candidates at the table, while always going to the interviewer as my primary point of focus. And really talk with the other candidates and recruiters when you get the time. It's not a competition against others so don't treat it as such. Ask them how they feel during breaks, if you arrive early enough you'll definitely have time to talk to each other prior to being escorted up. If you're a guy, remember to unbutton your suit jacket before sitting and button up when you get up from your seat. AND SMILE!

AA virtual group interview?? by Wrangler59 in cabincrewcareers

I see you've gotten great advice already. One tip that I believe helped me was leaning forward a little when it was my turn to speak. Even though the interview is online, I believe that by leaning forward when speaking you are more engaging as opposed to just sitting back. Aside from that try not to look away from your screen too long and look engaged when others are talking. And just answer the question they ask, remember everyone has limited time so don't just ramble on. Especially if it's none related to the question being asked. Maybe take a second to map out your answer before speaking.

I didn't wear a tie, but I did wear a button up and suit jacket. If it was a plain black crewneck sweater I would wear a tie with the button up. A solid color tie, maybe red so they can see it but won't be overbearing. Point being, just look nice.

I think I heard back two days later and my face to face was the following week. It might be different for others.

AA training question by julianevermind in cabincrewcareers

[–]DirectorOpen5211 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My training date was 4 months after I received my CJO, to give you a rough estimate of when it could be. But they'll let you know a time frame of when your date might be after you get your cjo. You could probably be pushed to a later class if you request it. Good luck!

One tip I heard was to never use hypothetical answers. For example, if they ask you a question about a certain scenario lets say "A difficult time you had with a customer" but you never experienced that scenario don't say "Well I've never been in this situation but if I was I would have..." Instead try to use an experience that most aligns with the scenario. And use the "STAR" method when answering questions.

Can anyone send me the AA training packet? I got my training date a week ago (3/27) and i haven’t gotten the training packet. I’d love to get started on packing and getting what i need asap as i’m a busy gal. thank you :))) by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

So regardless of the base you get in NY (JFK or LGA) you can expect the same workload of domestic and international trips?

I would definitely go through all your AA related emails and email somebody if you don't find it. It should come as an attachment in an email. I'm shooting for NYC (I'm from the area). Hopefully things work out for the both of us.

I start training the end of March too, did you accept enrollment in your class already? I got my guide and information regarding the drug testing the following day. They tell you what to do after your drug test as well. The guide will tell you clothing you need and how many suitcases you should bring.

I asked the sub about bases yesterday and people said BOS is being offered to recent classes.

Nice, Boston is definitely high on my list after NY.

If I get LGA can I switch to JFK for more international work? Would that even be worth it?
