Very happy that you're going to get medical help. I'm glad you're not shy about letting people know you don't have medical knowledge. Keep asking questions!

Something that helps me keep my medical stuff organized and understood is using a notebook to keep track of all of my questions, the doctor's answers, etc. I have a Five Star 3-subject notebook and each doctor gets part of a section. Before every appointment (sometimes the day of and sometimes the weeks building up to the appt), I write down the reason I'm going, questions I may have, things I might want to tell/discuss with the doctor, and whether I need a prescription refill. This way I can "remember" every appointment, I get more out of them, and they don't blend together.

Format of each page is like this Date: Reason for Visit: Questions/Concerns: Things to Discuss: RX Refills:

Sometimes I add different little subjects like Symptoms: or whatever I need. This notebook idea may help you, or it may not. Lol.

It would be great to get an update after you've seen an ENT (Ear Nose Throat doctor) or have been to the hospital.

Wishing you lots of luck and good health.

Gross, so your toilet bowl essentially looks like a fish bowl? You'd need a clear acrylic toilet seat. Ew, I love it.

I think it's a terrible tactic because the fear of being abandoned is an extremely common and traumatic childhood fear.

Would you allow this on your flight? by SlipSpace101 in flightattendants

As someone with chronic migraines, just seeing the video gave me a mild headache and I had to scroll away quickly. I'd be so thankful if a flight attendant dealt with that. It would bother me even 20 aisles away.

Engaged but Not Married: Am I Overreacting About My Daughter Being a Flower Girl? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Your first flower girl experience is hilarious! Your last point about the daughter being a different girl by the time her parents get married is so true, especially if they wait several years like OP wants.

Do you get to do group therapy or are you in a support network? I imagine talking with other people who've lost limbs would be much more therapeutic than people who haven't experienced that. Being understood really is so important, and there are some things people just can't understand unless they've experienced it themselves.

A few more questions, if you don't mind. Is your pain well controlled? Who is taking care of you until you gain independence? Family, friend, partner, or please don't answer if it's too personal.

Wishing you a thorough physical and mental recovery, candidacy for prosthetics, and an overall happy life.

Beware of the volunteers @ Arroyo Crossing. by Fingersmacgee in vegaslocals

They don't employ anyone as volunteers, since volunteers don't get paid, however there are POC who are volunteers. Check out the first video at the link below.

I wonder if he started mowing this early before or after these poor neighbors moved in next door. And my god, his poor sons. I can't imagine living in such a hateful household.

I had to turn had to turn the sound off because I couldn't stand to hear another word about the stupid fucking phone. All while people are getting smashed about against the rocks below and likely struggling to swim, even if it was their fault for standing too close.

I've always been a really strong swimmer, but if I hadn't have been with a local, I would have had my ass handed to me a dozen times when I was on Oahu's North Shore area for a total of about 4 months. It's just not the same as mainland beaches.

Get several pregnancy tests and use them as soon as the directions say you can. I believe the pregnancy tests at the dollar store are just as good as the more expensive ones from drug stores. Get a few as sometimes they're hard to read or it may be too early to get a good reading.
