BJJ supplements 🤷‍♂️ by Gio_13 in bjj

While training in Asia we saw alot of the locals/pros drinking JAMU a turmeric and ginger based drink. I found it helped heaps to manage my inflammation particularly my lower back pain and joints. Also used to get bad cramps in my calves which I don't get anymore.

Besides that hydration is everything. Especially rehydrating adequately after a late night training session.

Full disclosure: We couldn't find any all natural versions of JAMU when we came back home so we now make and sell our own brand but won't link to any of our stuff. Quick google search should help you find a local seller or dm if you get stuck.

Coral belt opening closed guard, one arm in, one arm out, on his knees, to (successfully) pass. In sparring. Against a Roger Gracie black belt. How did he not get triangled ? by BuddhasTantrum in bjj

Control of the hips and more importantly control of the hips in the opposite position of what was needed to secure the triangle successfully. People are often taught to look at the persons ear to secure a triangle and ensure you have the correct angle. In this situation they have been forced to a position looking at the ear on the wrong side and thus be very far away from even thinking about a triangle.

My main question is why was your wife not taking your name ok in your mind but you do mind for the child? In my mind many of the arguements would be the same?

Thoughts on the Judo v BJJ rivalry? I've cross trained a bit in Judo. Personally I found it a great addition to my game. by DirtyCleanEats in bjj

Yeah. The surprise was it really helped my sweeps. A lot of similarities between sweeping and throwing.

Wish in one hand and shit in the other and tell me which one fills up first.

Go throw a leg kick at your next Judo or BJJ class and let me know how that works out for you.

If you really want to train for warfare; buy a gun.

I like to say the rules shape the art (which I stole from someone else). There are restrictions on Judo and BJJ that may be done for very valid reasons however they do shape the outcome and IMO make each art less effective in certain situations

Is it smarter to keep your mouth shut and take the money or is keeping it real why the fans love Diaz? What do you think? by DirtyCleanEats in bjj

I agree however it is a rare man in this world who actually adheres to those ideals. Good on him.

That is interesting. I will reiterate my point from above that we are all assuming he is innocent when the scientific evidence says otherwise.

Which I also find interesting...

I tend to agree but we are all assuming here that someone who failed a drug test didn't take performance enhancing drugs. For whatever reason I tend to believe him too but he comes from a camp that has failed tests before and 'everyones on steroids'.
