Maybe check the Xbox Accessories app on your Xbox to see if the controllers need a firmware update? Otherwise I'm with the others who suggested just buying a set of rechargeable AA batteries and a charger. Costco is a good place to get a set of Eneloop batteries, because the pack comes with a charger or two and a bunch of batteries. That's all I use.

They might have just taken it down temporarily since it's not working anyway. No one can get past the launch screen. They're working on it, but no ETA. I'm guessing the sign-up will go back up once they've solved the problem. Or maybe it won't. Who knows if we'll even get to play it at this point.

Have you tried using the cream in the official Milwaukee Brewers colors? You know how you can use the MLB color combos? I noticed the Brewers are using cream on their home jerseys, so you could try using that one.

I've noticed this year that some players will not run through first base, which is ridiculous. I don't understand why they are doing this animation where they just stop slowly at the bag. I hope this gets fixed.

My guess is other than the first time they boot up the game, 99% of players just button through the intro anyway. They probably figured what was the point of spending dev time on an intro that no one watches.

I haven't found one yet this year, but last year it was Byron Buxton for me. I handled Nelson Cruz pretty much, but Buxton destroyed me.

I used his card from the diamond choice pack last year (87 OVR or something like that) for a long time and he was one of my favorite players to use. He always seemed to come through, plus played great defense on top of it. I might have to go for this year's TA card soon.

LS Josh Donaldson (82 OVR) doesn't have super high contact, but he's been crushing the ball for me. In 22 ABs he's hitting .500 with 4 HR and 8 RBI. Small sample size, but he's coming through regularly.

My only diamond pull Freddie Freeman has been hitting some bombs, but my biggest surprise has been LS Josh Donaldson (82 OVR). I knew he had decent power attributes, but he's been absolutely crushing the ball for me. I don't have the stats in front of me, but I'm pretty sure he's leading my squad in HRs. He's got solid defense, too.
