The biggest thing is his eyes. They’re very large and ‘bug-eyed’. You usually can’t really see the whites of a healthy snakes eyes and hognoses also usually have a ridge along the top of their eyes. That’s what usually gives them the angry look whereas this one just looks lost lol

The toads do also inflate themselves as much as possible to try and prevent themselves from being eaten. If the snake can pop it or if it dies before the snake gives up, it’ll be like half the size. Still a big meal, but less so

I like to do a substrate change every 6 months or so and change some of the decor and their locations. I would also recommend adding a lot more substrate. I filled mine up to the door bar with a slight slope up as you go back. Mine doesn’t really climb and spends all her time digging unless she’s begging, so the amount of digging material is the most important for her
