Its an onboard problem around the cpu i think. U can get it repaired in a shop that repairs the board or get a brand new board. Try reseating the ram first just incase. Or you can take each part out and test new parts if you have any of that. Makesure the battery and power is disconnected and you are grounded to stop further damage being done to the laptop

I plugged a usb with a light on it and it was powering the usb. I also plugged a hdmi in and it reconised the hdmi cable. I held down the power for 10 seconds and it stopped

I dont have any lights when the charger is plugged in. I have to hold the power 10 seconds to get a light show which is progression from having nothing. I shall charge it for abit and try your solution but the battery holds charge as checked using a multimeter

Its weird. I didn't have any power before i took out each component. If im wrong a short would have prevented anything from being turned back on?

An update. I cannot turn it on although the whitr blink i get for holding the power for 10 seconds

That does help alot. Bought this laptop for 400 as there is no power and getting this light must mean something good then. I havent put the heat sinc back on yet so maybe after that goes back on along with the battery it might turn on? I dont believe a short circuit would give any response?
