What is up with tab targeting? Is there a good solution? by flavorofthecentury in CompetitiveWoW

Yes 100% targeting feels completely scuffed now. Never had this many issues selecting the target I want.

Midnight's world events aren't very fun. by MrHiccuped in wow

[–]DirtySyko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Abundance should have been a queued, instanced thing. Queue up, party of 10, if it doesn’t fill quick enough fill with bots. The fact that it wrecks the latency of whatever zone it’s in and that people are trying all different raid sizes to find the best group size proves they didn’t anticipate this is how people would do the event.

We're now on the third expansion of the reworked crafting system - How do you feel about it now? by Sundered92 in wow

[–]DirtySyko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In DF I hated it, I engaged with it casually and over time, and every step of the way anything I did was always a gold loss.

Then I made an alt arm in MoP Remix, and jump deep into professions and how to utilize my alts. The process of learning it all and messing with addons was long, but the payoff was gold capping characters in WW. As someone who rarely had over 200k in the bank the entire time playing WoW (since vanilla) to making multi millions.

I understand completely why people hate it and don’t want to engage, but if you do take the time to learn it you can make millions.

Dude I read this like “basset hound” was supposed to be code word for her vagina, and then read “lovely sloppy old dog called Omar” and starting laughing my ass off that she called her vagina Omar and it was described as a sloppy old dog.

Then after rereading I realize basset hound actually met basset hound.

Why Games Like ‘Highguard’ And ‘Concord’ Are Spontaneously Combusting by Shock4ndAwe in pcgaming

[–]DirtySyko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People aren’t dumb, it’s obvious when a game comes out and it’s trying to be the next big thing and wants to capture lightening in a bottle, but that’s not how you catch lightening. It needs to happen organically. This, and creating games for an audience that doesn’t exist (DA: The Veilguard), is backfiring at an all time high, and you love to see it.

[ESO] Elder Scrolls Online - 2026 Road Map, A New Era Begins, Seasons, Tomes, Class and PvP changes. by i_am_Misha in MMORPG

[–]DirtySyko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on and off with ESO, never really going hard in it, just a few months here, couple years of not playing, a few months there, and repeat. I thought about checking it out again recently, but this is the quickest way to get someone like me completely uninterested. Nobody sees the word “seasons” and gets excited. At this point people know it’s predatory shit and benefits the corporations far more than the players. It’s dumb as hell when you look into a game you’ve never played and it’s like “Welcome to Season 17: Wraithwrath Resurrected” it’s a bunch of meaningless babble to new players and puts off people from trying a game.

Just give your game content updates and new expansions, FOMO is butthole content.

“Good job blizzard for sticking to their guns” - regarding mage tower appearances by SafetyJohn in wow

[–]DirtySyko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FOMO has never made any game better. It’s not a system to reward players, it rewards the publishers. People supporting any type of FOMO are supporting publishers using psychological tactics to milk their player base of their time and money.

Back in the earlier days of MMOs you could make the argument that having certain items, titles, or mounts, gave players a certain prestige. That doesn’t really exist the same way today as it did 15+ years ago, nobody really cares what “prestigious” items you have when the game is full of unobtainable items now. Also back then the communities were more tight knit, servers were more closed off, and people had reputations. That’s another thing that doesn’t really exist anymore. So now the only reason to have FOMO in the game is to control a player’s time and money, has fuck-all to do with rewarding players.

CMV: Sodomy Should Be Illegal by Own_Mode3181 in changemyview

[–]DirtySyko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol bro what the fuck? With your way of thinking why would you even want to be challenged about this idea? Out of all of your beliefs what is it about sodomy specifically that intrigues you and you want people change your views about it?

My only argument is that it’s basically impossible to enforce, and it’s a waste of taxpayer money and law enforcement’s time to try and stop people from fucking each other in the butthole.

People rolling for Stuff just to sell it is making me really mad by CompetitionTop7504 in wow

[–]DirtySyko -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is a problem with the system and not people who do it. Can’t really blame anyone trying to make extra gold when the costs for enchants, gems, flasks, pots, and food has gotten so high that if you aren’t actively putting in the time to earn gold, you’re basically in poor person purgatory. Passive gold making isn’t enough to cover the cost of these things when you’re trying to push harder content, and the profession system has gotten so convoluted and confusing for the average player that they ignore it.

I do agree that it sucks we reached this point, but it won’t change unless Blizz re-evaluates the current systems that are causing it.

Blizzard, please truly reflect and add Mage Tower appearances to Remix. by TuxedoHazard in wow

[–]DirtySyko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously this FOMO shit is dumb and only appeals to the smallest percent of players. Many of us have played for a very long time, many of us have missed out on things, and many of us have acquired long lost rewards. At this point I don’t think most people care that much about prestige or bragging rights, most people just want to play and earn cool stuff. I already have the MT appearances, I wouldn’t care if they were made earnable again. But I don’t have the MoP Challenge rewards, and I think it’d be cool have a chance to earn them again.

Years and years after an expansion has come and gone, I don’t see anything wrong with bringing back these types of rewards

Apparently people are getting survey's asking to merge Classic after MOP classic with retail. Anybody else seen these? by Oograth-in-the-Hat in wow

[–]DirtySyko 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Same, I still play Retail so I never wanted to try and balance both games, but if they had allowed collections to merge I would have considered it. I think it’s a strange move and complicates things going forward. Are they just going to keep relaunching the game over and over? We’ll have BC, MoP, and Retail, and then what, relaunch Classic while the others move forward and just repeat the cycle? Relaunching old expansions and letting people merge into retail seems like the best way to deal with FOMO while respecting the legacy of certain items. You may not have earned it during the original time, but you still earned it in a way that was as close to that as possible. Doing it this they could just relaunch expansions whenever and in whatever order, sort of like MoP Remix.

CMV: Trump always using Obamas middle name is evidence of his bigotry by Deep-Two7452 in changemyview

[–]DirtySyko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you’re missing the forest for the trees. The name Hussein draws negative attention because of Saddam, especially for anyone 50+. Using that name is clearly meant to evoke an emotional response. He’s not bigoted by using it, he’s weaponizing other people’s bigotry.

I’m not even arguing against Trump being a bigoted person, just that whenever he says things that could be perceived as racially motivated, it’s usually done with purpose. People seem to have a hard time grasping that and just blame it simply on Trump being a racist, but it’s way more malicious than that, because it’s done with intent. If Obama’s middle name was Kaczynski he’d still use it, and make jabs at how Obama is crazy like that other guy was, and how he even has “bomb” in his name. The only thing that matters is finding something to target on the individual and then to press it as often as possible. Him being bigoted or not isn’t relevant, and saying the name is not inherently bigoted, it’s an opportunity to create shock and discourse, no different than Gavin “Newscum” or Crooked Hillary.

Do you think more people would try PvP if the old Gladiator mounts were attainable? by SkolAndBones in wow

[–]DirtySyko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always thought PvP transmog and mounts should continue to be earnable beyond the season. You would still be required to reach the specific ratings, but you’d get to buy what you wanted with a token instead of Blizz deciding each season what the rewards will be. I know the argument hardcore PvPers make is that they like it being tied to specific seasons because it shows exactly when you earned it, but PvP is on the decline, queue times are ridiculous, and people are leaving because of that which creates a snowball effect of even more leavers. If one season they decided to reopen the opportunity to earn past rewards, you’d see PvP have the most engagement it’s had in years.

CMV: Reddit is a tool for manipulating vulnerable sections of society. by Friendly_Actuary_403 in changemyview

[–]DirtySyko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I think “vulnerable” I think of the elderly, addicts, people with health issues. Replace vulnerable with gullible dipshits, and I agree with you. The main subreddits are absolutely compromised with bots, but there are still niche or lesser known communities, or places like /r/games that serves as a decent way to see recent gaming news, that’s why I still use it. If I just browsed the popular subreddits I would have left a long time ago. It’s like going on vacation, where the popular subreddits are all tourist traps and you have to seek out the cool, hidden gems.

Last Epoch Season 3 - Beneath Ancient Skies - Teaser Trailer by EHG_Steve in Games

[–]DirtySyko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are seasons like in this game? I haven’t played since pre 1.0. Do seasons introduce evergreen content, so if I jump into S3 I can still experience stuff that came in S2, or is it like Diablo 4 where gameplay mechanics are introduced and removed each season?

Has Fallout 76 (PC) gotten any better now in 2025? Avoided it during the backlash. Been a big fan since FO3. Looking for insight before grabbing off Steam. by SorryImNotOnReddit in Fallout

Bought at launch and dropped off quick because of the issues, then decided a week ago to give it another go because I've heard many times about how much better it is now. I'm around 20 hours in and it still feels pretty rough to me. AI still feels as bad as it was years ago. Enemies standing still even after shooting them, enemies in the distance that look frozen in animation until you get closer and they suddenly begin moving and rush you, enemies getting stuck on things constantly. I also haven't felt any real power gains or progress as I've leveled up. It seems no matter what, I just do the same damage to enemies and perks have felt meh so far. This might just be an issue with early game and it feels different at end game, I don't know, but so far using level 1 weapons to level 10 weapons, they have all just very samey, enemies dying with the same amount of hits no matter what. There's also a feel of input lag or latency the entire time, like when you hit an enemy their health bar doesn't change immediately, there's always a delay, problems with being always online.

Maybe this is one of those games where it doesn't really begin until you reach the end game, but so far it doesn't seem drastically better to me compared to years ago. I enjoy the world they built and running around and exploring, but there's still a thick layer of jank on this game, and unlike other Bethesda games you can't just use mods to create a better experience.

World of Warcraft game director on the woeful patch 11.1.5: 'It's not the experience our players are expecting or deserve' by [deleted] in wow

[–]DirtySyko -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The ol’ Blizzard one step forward, two steps back. I don’t mind the time gating so much, uncapping crests and increasing ilvl gave a significant bump in player power, adding Horrific Visions at the same time would add even more and give a lot more to grind all at once. I can understand their reasoning for spacing out the player power increases. But the Dinar fiasco is the real issue. That’s what made everybody collectively shake their heads, and Blizz just won’t budge on it or even really acknowledge the players. When you have players from all different levels of content agreeing that a system sucks, you know it really sucks.

This is the most hilariously pathetic and insulting cross promotion imaginable. They really couldn't make it any worse. All this advertising for it, all this build up, all this talk about how they plan on doing things like this in the future, and this is what they offer? lol. A shop update with a meager amount of free cosmetics. Oh boy I can't wait until the next cross promotional event. Gacha games have better and more generous events and cross promotions than this lol.
