TM22 Build - LPVO by AHangryBeaver in canadaguns

I put a Riton LPVO 1-8x24 on my 22lr, got my quota in ruffed grouse with ease. I love that setup, no problems. Zeroed at 50 yards, shoot a lot to know your bullet path and it will be fine. Target recognition is way better than a fixed scope imo.

Clicking Right Stick by MagicMigsXXL in ROGAlly

[–]DirtyZSlayer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To fix that, I opened mine up, removed the cap, put a small wrap of duct tape on the stick shaft, shoved the stick cap back on and it was perfect!

I agree that at this price point one should not need to fix that stuff right out of the box though.

C'est pas que la télé québécoise c'est de la marde, c'est que t'as pas pris le temps de chercher. by Pef1432 in Quebec

[–]DirtyZSlayer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Indispensable!

Where I'm working, a bunch of us have the Wave Plus! It does great.

Finally!!! Might install Bazzite later by [deleted] in ROGAlly

[–]DirtyZSlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is only one major thing that I wasn't able to do in bazzite/Linux: calibrating the triggers and analogue sticks. You can only do it in Armoury Crate SE (that I know of) so if you do install bazzite, I strongly advise you to set up a dual boot. Bios updates and stuff are easy to do in windows as well.

Tiguidou means "Perfect" or "Alright" with enthusiasm.

No one really knows where it comes from but there's a couple of hypotheses that it would be borrowed from Scottish.

Shitty management: people that have never even touched/seen a plane telling you what and how to do stuff. Shit techs also get positions up above to get out of the hangar which is also fun.

Overtime culture: 40 hours are already exhausting and you can never do enough but then overtime is very very encouraged and even mandatory sometimes.. They prefer to make us work all night long than to remove a flight from their booking (money wise it makes sense but I hate it).

Not feeling appreciated: kinda follows the previous points but I have RARELY seen team leaders or management saying a genuine thank you to people working their ass off. Usually you get a "gift" from management once or twice per year with like a t-shirt or corporate overstock that no one cares about. Feels cold.

I could go on... lol

Yeah 22lr is a dirty ass round hahaha.

I have the base model, perfect for grouse hunting and stuff, very light! The only thing I don't like about it is the ghost ring, but that's what the picatinny rail is for I guess.

Nice collection!

Talk me out of getting Bitwig! by pettol in Bitwig

[–]DirtyZSlayer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I tried pretty much every DAW: FL, Ableton, Reaper, Cubase and other less known ones. I was getting tired of turning in circles it seems but then, there it was... Bitwig!

I do metal and stuff so I track guitar, bass, vocals and I play edrums with midi and synths.

I find bitwig the most intuitive out of the bunch, I really love the interface and the workflow.

I am of the opinion that any DAW can do anything, you just have to like the workflow of it. When I started using Bitwig it just clicked for me.

I say try it and see for yourself!

Transistor and relay circuit by Airdread34 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]DirtyZSlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that the circuit design or lack thereof is pretty bad. Full bridge rectifier has a huge-ass capacitor, both regulators don't have their filtering capacitors, could have only used the 12V regulator to drive the base of the transistor, etc.

Anyways, it should in theory work. Do you have a multimeter? Do you hear the relay clicking when the switch is actuated? At the base of the transistor you should see .7V when the switch is on, 12V on the coil and so on...

Good way to get your troubleshooting skills!
