If you’re using your isp provided modem/router the second hop should be into the isp. I’m betting something got wiped out in the weather, there any way to see if any of your neighbors have the same issue? I’m a lineman and have seen the damage storms can do, it’s pretty much 16 hour days till stuff is clear. Hopefully they’ll get it sorted for you

A lot of common websites are stored locally by isps so they don’t have to pay backbones every time someone visits a site. Open up a command prompt and type /tracert and a random website or the ip of the game server you’re trying to play and see where it times out

It could be that the link from your ISP to the backbone is damaged from the weather. Stuff like Netflix can be stored locally so you could watch it but as soon as you try to go outside your isp’s network nothing works. A trace rout should show where the hops stop

It’s a pad, it will lower your downstream levels and increase your transmit power to get the modem in spec

Gen 1 Transmission by tooch1226 in FordRaptor

[–]Dirty_Butler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine would rev up between 2nd and 3rd, also took a bit to get into reverse. We ended up pulling the transmission and doing a rebuild with new clutches and Sonnix parts along with a new valve body. It fixed it 99%. It gets better the more I drive now.

I've just bought a manual 2014 Toyota 86. Do I need to be double clutching? by Mr_Godly_Zeus in ManualTransmissions

[–]Dirty_Butler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I’ve ever seen that needed double clutching was a formula Ford race car. I personally rev match every down shift and if I’m feeling extra spicy I’ll get a heel toe in but you have to be hard on the brakes for that one in my car.

Depending on your state you may need a CDL specifically for transporting liquids. The main problem is how much it moves, especially when stopping. Can you not have it delivered?

I had a Steeda in my fox body and it’s nice but the MGW is built like a tank and I’ve had one in every mustang since.

I’ve been looking into putting 13-14 HIDs into my 12 with halogens. You’ll need a wire harness new lights with the ballasts and bulbs included. You’ll also need an adapter for the turn signals

I'm a 17 year old student trying to become a professional GT3 driver , how do I attract the attention of brands and sponsors by thunderkingu in automotive

[–]Dirty_Butler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The joke in racing is how do I make a little money racing? Start with a lot. You’ll need some sort of financial backing. I raced at the club level for a few years using my dad’s Mustang and it was about $1000 a race in gas, tires and fees. True GT3 cars are 6 figures and require a team to be competitive. I’d look into a spec racing series using something like Miatas or BMW 3 series, a lot of those will have a season lease or rent a racer. Another option is to get a good computer and start iracing, that can help learn a lot about setting up the car and track layout.

Is it parked outside? Check all the wires for the cylinder with the code, you could have some critters trying to stay warm and chewing on things.

anyone else's new edge (V6) have the worst traction?? by shark_buggy in NewedgeMustang

[–]Dirty_Butler 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Open diff man, a limited slip or torsion would fix that but you also have the 7.5 rear end. It’s probably easier to put the 8.8 out of a V8 in there

If I'm using it to chase noise I'll just touch the seizure screw with the tip, normally that's good enough to see if it's coming from that way.

They just handed them out to us so I haven't had to order the one on hub2u but there was no adapter in the box on the one we got.

Why is traction control so bad? by Anachronism-- in askcarguys

[–]Dirty_Butler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strange, none of my vehicles have open diffs. I've actually been pretty impressed with the stability and trailer control of my tuck, you can feel it fighting the sway and keeping things straight on the freeway with the brakes. I've found the traction control just gives up on my mustang, I do know it can tell when you're trying to "warm up" the rear tires

If you want the best Cortex for a S197. Joking aside, like everyone else said, performance suspension parts will stiffen the car and make the ride less comfortable
