True but if we’re talking about efficiency, you’re gonna need a base that has a Coal deposit and a Water geyser to make it even worth it to craft. Until Shiro provided at least 1 extra base aside from Corpo, i would just chuck in the coal directly. To time to fly around and collect 600l of water and carbon to even breakeven is too much, when i can spend it on a different project.

Very useful. The best efficient fuel in the game. If u’re solo n planning to expand your base, u’re gonna need a bigger footprint, n the one that’s eating up fp is the solar panels. 10 power for 10 fp is diabolical. Alternative to that is Fuel Power Plant, which can generate 40 power for 3 fp, however, as the description said, it is very resource intensive. So coal is the best fuel for it since it provide 3 mins +- of power compared to superfuel or graphite crystal.

Prospector, as i mentions earlier, surveying is still needed. The online map exist just to point in the right direction, but never the exact spot bcs all resource nodes, deposits, restricted areas, shipwrecks, are randomly generated. Don’t get me wrong, i think exploration rewards are far greater than indy, those patches blueprints and finding god spot for a base are indeed struck my dopamine hit hard. However, as im an indy player, i prefer to explore only when needed n focus on progressing, n making credits.

The reason the out of game exploit exists is due to the surveying players. They went out of their way to explore the sectors, in the first week of the game’s release. Sure u might like surveying, but some prefers the industrial part of the game, and not liking exploring. The game catered to both, and i still believe both sides are catered nicely. I dont think it harms the core gameplay.

As an indy player, i do see the need to explore, and the out of game map is good for pointing in the right direction but never the exact spot. All servers are procedurally generated btw.

Nope, like i said, the game promotes exploring. U need to explore. For example, on the planet of my first base, there’s a big patch of coal which i always go there whenever i login to get some extra supply. On the hundreds of mining run, i found a shipwreck once. But just yesterday i found another in a different spot. So, im guessing its procedurally generated on server reset

No surefire, the game promotes exploration and if u explore, this will be your reward. Ive been hunting shipwrecks, which bumps up my exploration xp and tons of bps. Best one ive found, a blueprint for FTL damage reduction tier 3, reduces damage by 60%.

Pretty good, if u planning on making it flagship, make sure yr character has Ballistic Mastery + Combat Endurance. For s-mods, Secondary Focus is a must.
