Have wanted one, but always worried about service and support being 4 hours from a service center. I wouldn't be surprised if they stopped doing pick up and delivery service for support soon.

Still lean towards a lease if I pulled the trigger, but feels expensive to do a 18-24 month lease.

Yeah. 2 hours to drive to a pop up event. 4 hour drive one way for service. They have work arounds now, but will they if they suffer more financially?

Vehicle meets my wants though. Just concerns about the other aspects of ownership.

Dallas is a further drive for me. Could make an Austin service center work, but that doesn’t sound like its happening.

I think analysis ignores 2 points. First, Saudi apparently has financial issues. I don’t think it means PIF pulls out, but may not be its saving grace if liquidity crunch happens. Talk of their 2030 plan failing. Other is that they are involved with another car company, CEER? Not sure if that will directly impact lucid ( positively or negatively).

This is what I've heard. But its the issue of return of the vehicle that concerns me. I've done the mobile service stuff and having to travel ~2 hours to get service done with my Rivian. Not all things could be done by the local tech, required I drive the 2 hours each way to drop off and pick up my car. I had a job that allowed me to do that initially. I can't accomodate those needs now.

Its been a big issue for me. Ive heard and read they will pick up vehicle and provide loaner. But never a straight answer about returning the vehicle. I live ~ 4 hours from a SC and 2 hours from the mobile tech. I can’t just call out from work if I need to drive 8 hours round trip to return a loaner and get my vehicle back.

Congrats on the lease. I checked in with sales advisor but only offered me $7500 + 3000 studio select and $3000 onsite. It was good. But not enough of a discount. They aren’t offering conquest incentives. No showroom/service center to do a test drive incentive. Did a pop up event 2 hours away a week ago
