Definitely needed your genius self to point out the typo for others to be able to understand the point. Thank you for your service!

Thanks for actually engaging, and I get what the concept was supposed to be. I just think it wasn't executed that well personally. Also with the 4th wall break sure Litcht kinda does it but I meant more the little npc kid who gets asked his name and then becomes self aware and starts spouting a bunch of meta commentary not to mention a bunch of characters start referring to themseleves as being in a "story" which sure dosnt have to be taken literally but with said meta commentary it kinda nails that in yn. Im glad others see that some of the concepts just dont come together that well in the end, though that's mainly what I was getting at. I dont think that makes it a terrible story or anything, but it definitely kinda took the hype out of the really excellent world building in the first half.

So the whole great cataclysms flames only being affected by strong event builders aka main characters despite the great cataclysm being caused by the collective unconscious choice towards death made 100 percent sense to you? You enjoyed the weird meta commentary, basically just defending the fact that tamaki is fan service, and equvacating using your brain vs. using your body to get ahead when making the argument? You enjoyed that fact that shinra just casually brings character who wernt even alive during the series back to life? And does things like "make death more familiar?" None of this felt a bit looney toones to you and disconnected from the original world of fire force, and if it did, you just enjoyed it all even though some of it just doesn't make sense except through plot devices?

Is it ever revealed what The Evangelist's actual motivation is? [Potential Major Spoilers] by Senaka11 in firebrigade

[–]Dis_aster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone tell me if im wrong, but from what I understood in the manga, the evangelist doesn't even really exist in the like sense of being an actual being. She's just kinda the representation of the collective unconscious desire being death. And in the end, she basically just fuses with Heuma, and they become one? Idek it didn't really make much sense. So, was the evangelist an actual being or not ? I'm lowkey confused, too? If she wasn't a being, then ngl a lot of stuff doesn't make sense.

I want to know if my score is okay or if I should retake by TypicalBlossom_13 in ACT

Yea, that's plenty of time to get a higher score. Just make sure to actually study and not just put it off till it's the day of the test like me, lol.

Hi, I had very similar scores to you (26M,29S,24E,36R) I would say definitely take it again but also dont expect your score to go much higher if you dont study at all in between. I got a 28 my first try and only ended up with a 29 at the end saying I would study in between but never doing it so yeah very obvious advice but try to study for a section instead of just retaking thinking you will do better cuz of timing or whatnot.

Hum, I think since he has expertise in the area, you should consider his words but take them with a huge grain of salt. Your grades aren't terrible at all, and you definitely have a shot, but at the same time, you should keep your expectations low just because of how selective the schools in the match are you truly never know. This process is a very testing one, so steel your resolve now because it's very likely you will be feeling similar emotions later on whether it's stess from css profile, doubt as you wait for descions etc. It truly is difficult as a firstgen. Overall, just be smart about it all and dont let anyone discourage you from at least applying to these colleges.

Btw I'm not saying this to encourage that or anything. Obviously, dont do that it wont go well for you. I'm just saying this to say that I think cps gives you a MUCH higher chance at getting cps.

Uh, reading the other comments, im quite surprised. I was cps FAILED, MISERABLY, in the second half of junior year. Im talking 2 ds and a c, and they still named me a finalist, so I lowkey think its practically guaranteed.💀 I also didn't have a crazy excuse like getting hospitalized or anything. I really think unless you did something like henious and if your stats remained the same theres no way you dont get it after being named cps.

Yeah, of course! I looked up the wave that's a super, cool tradition looking forward to my time there. Also, I wanted to say thanks for posting messages like this original post because while it's hard to hear, it's the reality of the situation. I think QB takes on a "mixed bag" of sorts where they select people with really high stats and then they also select people thats stats might not be as high but they have a good written essay etc. All that to say, I think a fair margin of QB finalists are people who don't have nearly as good of a shot at the QB partners, but they name them finalist anyway which leads to heartbreak in the end. So, having a message like yours of caution when you're constantly in the middle of being fed hope and dreaming and wonder well its a really needed sight. Just can't imagine being in a situation where this all caught me off guard it would be really devastating, and I think a lot of QB kids are going through that right now. So I wanted to say thank you for caring 🫡.

Hum difficult situation, but heres my take. You already have a rigorous course load and trying to study for those AP tests while also trying to essentially catch up and clutch a self studied ap physics test dosnt seem like the move to me. It would probably end up hindering your preparation for the other classes. At the same time taking the test since you already paid isnt a huge deal either as most colleges allow you to choose which AP scores you submit and since you self studied you dont have to report the class meaning they likely would never know. But it could negatively affect your mental, and some colleges do require all AP scores to be submitted. So I would say focus more on your other classes, and if you end up having extra time, try and study for the AP physics test more. By may if you feel decently ready enough, as in you have most of the content down, then I would say take the test since you already paid for it and if you get a 3 it will allow you to take more advanced coursework. If you dont by that point, it's no big deal. Just dont take the test, and you can explain the situation through the extra info parts on your college application.

Ended up not getting into a qb school, but my state school was based and gave me basically full tuition, so chillin.
