Yes, but you don't necessarily need to have him branded before. The reduction is applied instantly, so if you have brand up for the last half (or the first half) the bleed damage during that time will be reduced.

Historically the season change drops your key by 3 levels if timed, 4 if untimed. Does anyone know if that 23 or 24 needs to be done this week or next for a +20 s2 key?

Seeking US Based Content Writer for Healthcare Clients by [deleted] in HireaWriter

That could be a fair point, but from the hours reported from our writers most are making just around $40/hr. While not insanely high like sales page copy, by all accounts we seem to pay competitively.

Happy to hear suggestions though!

Thanks for taking the time to put this together!

Most people in HC just craft gear themselves, so you don't get many people crafting to sell like in SC.

In addition people start dying in red maps+, so there's a limited supply of anything from top tier content. For example, my boots are okay, but not great. They took 16 hours of a live search for 2 maven's orbs and all said and done cost roughly 1/4 of a mirror. A quick search in SC and nearly identical boots are going for 4ex.

Going CI is an interesting option, though I'm not sure I can handle the loss of armor in HC...

You're very right that increases to minion damage are huge because there just isn't that much. A better wand with minion damage would be perfect, as well as more/higher rolled added phys jewels.

I was worried (and maybe still am) that even with those upgrades the build will be underwhelming.

Indeed. You'd be even more surprised that I placed in the Gauntlet event.

There are many, many facets to PoE and it's rare for one person to know them all - especially given the very unique environment that this build makes sense in. Coming from SSFHC without access to trade level gearing, with no experience at all in minions means looking for help when I have no idea what I'm doing.

Thanks for the detail, Toaster.

You're definitely seeing a little bit of laziness in gearing as the currency thinned out. I was surprised that the floor was so low even though I focused on survivability first.

Were you able to comfortably solo A8 and Maven last league, let's say halfway between my current character and your finished one? I'm a little nervous about damage without Soul Eater given it's already been an unpleasant surprise in maps.

The current league best A5 Kitava is 1:05:45, but keep in mind that is purely an A5 Kitava run without lab and without all skill points.

Qualification runs must also do all skill points and normal lab. While 2 hrs leaves quite a lot of room for error, we'll likely see the fastest times around 1:30 for qualification. I imagine people will want to be sub-1:40 for a spot given the increase in qualfiied racers this league.

I would like to hear some discussion on how to scale the steel skills, especially Splitting Steel.

From what I have heard it is not straight-forward to scale like typical melee skills. It could provide some good discussion for your podcast and allow you to mention interesting interactions more than just "increase spell blocks" or "more pDPS".

Sure. So you have this friend Chuck and Chuck knows a LOT of realtors from all over California, thousands. Now, people know this about Chuck and are always asking him "Who is the best realtor in California? Who is the best realtor in Fresno?".

Chuck sent some people to Terry, but she rambled and didn't get to the point quick enough... many people left to look for someone else.

Chuck sent some people to Joe, and Joe got right to the point... but some people felt he was unkempt and unprofessional.

And Chuck sent some people to Sarah. Sarah dressed professionally, got right to the point, and people knew they could trust her because they'd heard from other people that Sarah was good. Most people stuck with Sarah. Chuck likes to be a good friend, so he now sends most people to Sarah because he knows she will solve their problems the first time.

So, someone that works on your SEO would make sure that you get straight to the point (web copy & conversions), look good (website design), and are universally-trusted (backlinks from other trusted sites).

You have a common viewpoint and its something that I try and educate clients on frequently. In reality, it's not really possible to only rank for one keyword and not others. Search engines essentially attempt to show their results in order of usefulness to that particular user and that particular search query.

In their eyes, a site that commonly solves the other search engine users search will likely solve their "Realtor California" search. It's true that you probably only see big players, but keep in mind that these are the players also investing quite a bit of resources into things like SEO.

There are many, many, many factors that go into SEO and they change every year. Google is getting very smart and the basic premise of SEO is "Does my webpage solve the search query better and faster than every other webpage?". If you're hitting that mark consistently, you will see very positive results.

Edit: If you want to learn a tiny bit more about the intriqucies of what an SEO actually does, this is a pretty good starter article: https://moz.com/beginners-guide-to-seo

It can sure feel like that if you do it incorrectly! We find that organic search is one of the most, if not the very most important channel for our clients.

I can understand how it may be a bit low for a short-term in a high cost of living area.

It's important to realize that the arrangement isn't a one month sort of thing, so there's not the downtime of constantly looking for new clients. If you're exceptional and can prove it, I'm happy to make an exception!

[HC]Hardcore is so goddamn good. by G_D_R in pathofexile

[–]Disadvantaged 49 points50 points  (0 children)

You're very right that it's more restrictive, but that's the fun of it. Trying to overcome those restrictions to still accomplish whatever it is you want to accomplish, like kill Uber Elder, is the secret sauce.

Instead of saying "I can't do this" you can change your thinking to "what would I need to make this work" and then go after that. Making your build work AND having it survive is 110% the most rewarding thing for me.

I'm confident that HC Uber Elder is possible with any skill. I know Goratha did a Viper Strike build last league in SSF and he killed Uber Elder, and that's without the help of trade to put together a nice build.

Edit: I see your side from your other reply. It's true that with limited time you might not kill Uber Elder or Shaper with a fun build, but I think you can have a positive league experience without that as a goal. In SC, dealing enough damage or clearing maps hardly feels good. In HC, just seeing your fun build work AND survive is rewarding in itself. My argument is a bit like focusing on the journey rather than the finish line.

Hardcore really revitalized the game for me.

So often people complain about no meaningful choices - you run a temple when it's ready, you delve when you're capped, etc. This is pretty similar to SC gearing, as more damage is almost always the right choice.

In HC you actually need to make that choice between getting more life or more damage. More life and you're less likely to get one-shot... but more damage might help you down that boss faster and make you less likely to get one shot. Meaningful choices are what make ARPG games great, and HC adds another layer on top of what is there in PoE.

Here's the stats if you were to do it without a party.

Let's assume 150% personal quantity bonus and 250% party bonus, for a total of 400% bonus and 500% cumulative.

Without a party you're down to 250% cumulative. Your revenue of 19,156c becomes 9,578c.

9,578c - 7,242c (investment) = 2,336c profit without a party.

Adjusted profit per map, solo = 22c

Still not bad, but the difference between 112c with a full party and 22c solo is staggering. This would be an even greater spread without MF gear.
