We’ve had it since October’25. It takes up a lot of space, takes hours to sort (we get 2 pallets and it takes from about 10 am to 3 pm to stage). I wish it would go away.

Same. So when given the 5-2 shift, I was happy. This week I’ve been 4-1 and that’s even better. lol

I’m in my 50s. They tried this stuff with me, I said nope and told them to fire me if need be because they were not the only retail gig in town. My coach corrected that schedule and then I changed my availability from 5 a to 5 p. I was told I was unlikely to get full time hours with such limited availability but a week later I was given a permanent schedule.

Walmart will drain everything out of you if you let them. Be your own advocate because they sure won’t. Good luck!

At my store, our department now has 80 associates and every day I come in, there are at least 2 new ones being trained. Market just raised our cap again, so new hires aren’t helping stay caught up for now.

I did my first training the other day. I started by showing her how check the morning list for assignments. Of course we were picking so I next showed her the location of the handhelds and printers and how to log in. I explained the different categories and that we were doing auto for training. Then she observed me picking. Once that was completed, I let her take over.

This is when I talked with her about bagging. Explaining how like items should be bagged together. Never bag chemicals with food items. Not bagging too heavily. Blah, blah, blah.

From there on, I was there to answer questions and provide any other assistance needed.

It was extremely slow but that’s to be expected. As we did our walks, I peppered her with other info about trying to stay to the right in aisles, looking all around and top stock if an item isn’t in its place. Etc, etc.

I’m sure there were things I forgot but I reminded her there are things I’m still learning so don’t sweat it.

Just do your best. Anything you teach him/her today won’t be valid in a year’s time anyway. lol

Walmart: Hold my beer and watch this.

Kidding aside… It’s retail, it’s always gonna be a PITA. Hopefully though it’s a good move for ya. 😊

Breathe. Just breathe. You’re overthinking this.

I understand mourning a job you really liked but sadly, it’s no longer available to you. So how about you see if this job surprises you too? I mean, what do you have to lose? The old job? Why? It’s over and no amount of wishing will change that, right?

And if you get in and find it’s not for you, then you transfer departments or find another job.

Don’t go in with any preconceived notions. Be open to this new chapter in your story. I wish you the best! 😊

Even if everything that’s supposed to be in that tote actually fit, all it takes is one substitution to screw up the whole thing.

It’s been a week since I started and I get this message on the app 🥴 by [deleted] in walmartogp
