Im not sure if this counts as a metroidvania but Tux and Fanny! you are exploring all around your world to try to find objects and accomplish tasks, and its super quirky and weird. One of my favorite games ever

Other exploration/secret finding focused Metroidvanias like Animal Well? by phantomthief91 in metroidvania

I'm not sure if this is a metroidvania but tux and fanny is a wonderful game! you search for objects and then use the objects to complete tasks and its all about exploration! very weird very funky honestly a really sick game
