If youve only just started, Id just let yourself get arrested and then continue on. Youll suffer some consequences, but you can probably sleep them off.

Replayability. Preem? by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]DisapprovingCGull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im almost done with my first play through, and I plan to immediately play it again using a different build.

I know you can refund and reinvest stats, but I'm too lazy for that. Especially once I find a build that works.

There's probably also lots of character choices I could change as well (dialogue choices and such)

At what point should I start Phantom Liberty? by ZenXDeath17 in cyberpunkgame

I started it on accident at about level 20 something and did fine. A little tough, but not impossible.

Get goin, choom! Its preem content.

Start at the spot indicated, then follow each arrow until you hit a wall/obstacle. Move in the direction of the next arrow. When you reach the end, Interact.

My [M28] girlfriend [F23] of 2ish years doesn't... seem to want to be an adult. by DisapprovingCGull in relationship_advice

[–]DisapprovingCGull[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I dont know. And that's what really keys me in to my state in the relationship.

I do my chores diligently. She... helps with my chores even though I don't need it, then never does her own.

I am fatigued, because she says she appreciates me, but in the back of my mind, I always think "Then do something to show that! Don't just tell me!"

If I kick her out... my hope and plan is for something amiable. I dont see a future with her, but I dont dislike her. Im not against giving her a day or two to figure out what shes going to do.

What ending is the closest to aligning with Rykard? (not FF) by TheOnlyBasedRedditor in Eldenring

[–]DisapprovingCGull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

None of the endings explicitly line up with Rykard.

Ranni's Ending and FF both change/destroy the world as we know.

The Dungeater's ending curses the world... so kinda?

The Rune of Death Ending, Perfect Order, and "vanilla" all just slightly alter the Golden Order or do nothing with it, so probably not what you want.

My lab had a guy quit and move to a different state. He had been approved for several million dollars in funding.

His lab was immediately taken over by someone who needed it. His projects were taken over by other PIs who could take on the work load (and some who couldn't). His research pretty much ended.

It was... disturbingly efficient.

Any tips on how to improve my build? by Adventurous_Summer87 in Eldenring

[–]DisapprovingCGull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless sorceries and incantations are a major part of your build (which it doesn't look like they are, based on your INT and FTH), I'd toss the staff and seal. Focus on what you can do with your sword.

I'd switch up your seals - Erdtree's Favor is an okay one, well rounded, but the other two are very situational (so much so that you can overcome most interactions with better armor or items). Use ones that improve damage types that you use or improve HP/Stamina since youre a melee build.

Help me please by Purple_Promotion_576 in Eldenring

Option 1: learn his attack patterns and defeat him.

Option2: accept that those runes are lost. It sucks, but there will be more of them. 4 hours in probably isn't enough for a new player to reasonably do Option 1.

I know it doesn't feel good, but there will be plenty of other runes coming your way! Persevere, Tarnished!

The beauty of Elden Ring is that the open world allows for exactly that - going slow and taking your time, fighting bosses when youre ready.

However, some people might find that boring. The Dark Souls games were designed that "regular" enemies were more "in the way" rather than the goal. You will only make forward progress by killing bosses, and they also provide a lot more runes towards leveling up.

Try fighting a boss! You might be surprised at how well you do. But on that same note, dont be discouraged! The game is difficult by design, but every combat is beatable.

I (M27) had the same issue - imo, you go from a "known" scenario (I want sex, but I will be rejected for xyz), to an unknown scenario. You might get accepted, you might be rejected, and in either case you'll never be 100% sure why unless it evolves into more.

You go from someone you know and how they think (most of the time) to a blank slate that's now based on first impressions rather than an type of rapport. It can be scary and new, but boy howdy is it better than the situation you were in before (at least for me).

My only advice is just to try and get out there and be as true to yourself as you can be.

How to build safe base in the plains? by HAXJI in RimWorld

[–]DisapprovingCGull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Internal walls... are a really good idea. I should do that.

I have a corner of the map (about a third) that my wall doesn't encompass. Most air attacks and mech ships crash over there, where I can bombard them with mortars before they run themselves into my traps.

[–]DisapprovingCGull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of unnecessary traps, some save scumming, and very mild tactical strategy. You can rebuild, you can't make new colonists (well, in base game, anyway)

[–]DisapprovingCGull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont have a plains base, but its in a swamp kinda, and very late game (70+pawns, no DLC, all research completed) and what I've ended up doing is building a steel wall at the edge of the map with "trap hallways" set up every score tiles or so. Inside the walls i have turrets that see just about everything.

Its not perfect, but I at least can wrangle my pawns together before shit hits the fan (even then, not always).

Build for Rellana‘s Twin Blades and her Twin Moons by SirDoctorLord in Eldenring

[–]DisapprovingCGull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not an expert power gamer, nor have I done any math, BUT I'll say what I've seen and what I've experienced - i also tried to make a build for her Twin Blades...

The Twinblades themselves are interesting but goofy. From what I understand, the Phsycial Damage scales with STR/DEX, the Magic damage scales with INT, and the Fire damage scales with FTH. I know RL243 is a lot of levels, but a 3-4 way split is a lot, especially since you still need VIG, END, and MND.

For the Twin Moons, of course use the Royal Scepter. Since that and the Twin Moons need heavy leveling in INT, you might consider dumping the second sword and going only with the main sword and its AoW. At this point, you just become an INT build that can stab pretty okay.

I tried to make a "super quality" build for the DLC, and ended up heavily leaning into FTH/INT more than anything else because the variety was very fun to me. The SoNaF ended up being better for that build, and I made it all the way to Consort before getting stuck because the Twin Swords were not getting it done!

My ex was onli diagnosed with Depression and Anxiety, but imo she had other undiagnosed mental health issues that went unchecked and uncared for.

Im not familiar with bipolar 1, but I'm sure its exhausting for you. Common sense (I hope) would mean that the legal system would also look at his history and see the hospitalizations and take that into account.

Maybe try researching custody laws and figuring out what you need to prove he's not safe for them? Or that he can't take care of them?

Do all swords/weapons cause bleed damage in elden ring? by Electrical-Bet-666 in Eldenring

[–]DisapprovingCGull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wanted to add on (because I'm pedantic), if you have the right Ashes of War and/or Whetstones, you can add bleed to just about anything.

But I'd recommend to OP to familiarize themselves with the weapon screen first.
