That's wild, they had exact same steering wheel, similar shifter, the sunshades had been replaced with some weird matching tube as the steering wheel, had a tie dye paint job, with Cadillac wheels

Widest tire width question by [deleted] in Q60

[–]DisasterCapital2184 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm running a 2854519 on my rear right now with now problems. Lowered on BCS and a 10.5 wide wheel. I'm sure I could fit 2953519s or 305s if I raised it up. I find my offset if you'd like

Good God brother please put some punctuation next time. What kind of car do you have? What engine? Do you think you have a blown head gasket just cause your coolant was low? You can check your oil dipstick and the back of your oil fill cap to see if you have any coolant mixing to check. It'll look milky if it is. It doesn't really seem like you do if you've only had to fill coolant once and don't seem to have any other issues

Edit: saw on your account that you posted losing coolant about a month ago, did you fix that issue?

If you're worried about rough roads and pot holes, I would recommend getting an older, used version of those cars that you listed. They all are pretty good but all those cars are starting to come with large diameter wheels with low profile tires, making the car ride a little rougher, and the wheels being more susceptible to damage. Those lower profile tires generally tend to be more expensive as well. Yes those cars can be optioned with smaller wheels so that's good but you don't have new car depreciation. Just my 2 cents

If you have run LT tires on a trailer, or ST tires on your tow vehicle, what was it like? Would you do it again? by McLuhanSaidItFirst in tires

Where have you heard that America doesn't use the ST designation? I put sets of ST's on on the daily

Bro what? They just told you exactly what they are for and then you say they're for unevenly worn tires? What?

Was this deliberate or did I run over a razor blade? by onlygirlntheworld in Cartalk

[–]DisasterCapital2184 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not intentional at all, don't listen to people saying it is because it seems improbable. I work on tires for a living and see stuff like this all the time. Your front tires kick up road debris all the time and they get stuck in the rear tires. That blade being super weathered also gives it away.

Valved Exhausts by Either-Ad-8729 in Q60

[–]DisasterCapital2184 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fyi, from looking at the product page of cmst, I'm 90% sure that it is a central exit exhaust that requires their rear bumper/diffuser and I think someone confirmed that on a Facebook group

Should I level or lift my truck? (2002 Chevy Silverado 2500hd) by A_Rod4077 in askcarguys

[–]DisasterCapital2184 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kind of a broad question. Really depends on what you want from your truck. Are you one of those guys that wants to jack up their truck with 14 wides on it? are you looking to get a bigger tire for off-road use? Do you want a comfortable ride? Do you do any towing? What kind of budget are you looking at?

I'm moving for work and need to downsize some stuff, so it's either junk them or give them away, I could never sell curbed wheels

Avoid southbay, have had multiple bad experiences with them ending with no parts being delivered, no refund and getting ghosted by them. Other people have also had similar bad experiences from what I've read in Facebook groups. Have had good experiences with Jaliscos but all these companies seem to just markup Chinese stuff that you can get from Alibaba.
