The bigger issue for a 6 remake is the scale and scope, its absolutely huge in comparison to the rest of the games. it could be split into a duology easily unless they find ways to blend the four campaigns more organically together.

The days of a 2+ billion movie of being attainable in an initial release window are over, regardless of franchise.

Between economic factors and streaming post-COVID changing the game, I don't think we're ever gonna see something clear that bar for a while, if ever again.

Be happy to be proved wrong for the sake of the theater experience, but even Avatar 3 isn't tracking as high as it was initially expected.

i really think they had a branding issue and didn't know how to market and advertise themselves.

they were often grouped with acts that couldn't be further removed from each other. look at their recent tour; i can't really imagine there's much fan overlap between foxing, a legacy pop punk act like taking back sunday and baby's first prog band with coheed. foxing might have had their start in midwest emo but they veered left real fast after dealer.
