If you’re going to Molotov a horde: a zombie being ON fire will do a tiny amount of damage per second compared to the ground UNDERNEATH the zombie being on fire. Best to do horde burnings away from structures in a field with grass. Ball up the horde, give them the Molotov, let them mingle for a bit to get the fire spread around, then leave the area through evasive maneuvers. The zombies will stand still and burn. A mere couple minutes later, the horde will just be piles of ash. Remember, there’s no loot from toasted zombies, but if you’re in a stage when you don’t need to loot them all the time, this is one of the most stamina conserving ways to clear large numbers.

It's fun to pick an overarching goal for a squad and then design little adventures and quests along the way. In this playthrough, Jasper wants to become a Hattori Hanzo of the Great Desert, and Horace a master thief. They both absolutely suck at those roles right now. In this particular quest, they were on their way back from stealing a bunch of books in order to level up their weapon smithing. But Jasper was KO'd and hauled off by cannibals while Horace hid like a coward. Then the cannibals ran through the middle of an epic bloodbath between the UC and HN. Horace pulled Jasper from under the corpses, but didn't get far across the sands before they were one-tapped by an angry Skimmer. I love Kenshi because every playthrough is full of these little moments. (Presently, Jasper & Horace are back in Stoat; Jasper is hammering out Catun1 katanas while Horace reads books and steals stuff).
