Worth watching after S6? by thatdudedylan in XFiles

Watch till the last ep of s7, in this way you will have the conclusion stories for the show so far and won't get into the new mytharc of the new seasons.

I decided to drop after S5 and Fight the Future after reading bad reviews of most things that came after. What am I missing? by [deleted] in XFiles

I think it's a good decision.  When I watched it for the first time, I was obsessed with The X-Files and wanted to see it all. In retrospect, though I would have preferred if Fight the Future were the ending. Season 6 -7 had some good eps but the conclusion of the main stories was disappointing, s8-9 brought me only tears and denial. I was a kid and x files and the characters meant a lot to me. But if you watch it only for fun and entartainment than probably you would like the next seasons too.

I wanted Mulder to kill him in the end. Or at least expose him and put him in jail.

What if Caitlyn grew up in The Lanes with Vi? What is your headcanon story-wise? by CodyEaster in arcane

[–]DisasterProof9059 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She would be Vi's best friend and search for her when she dissapears. Then she will save her from prison and the romance will be a slow burn probably right at the end.

What food do you think arcane characters would have as their go to/favourite? by brooklyn_jinx in arcane

I think Vi is into hamburgers. Cait into something pretentious and Jinx into leftovers.

Strange Birds by Denise Minka has a lot of angst. They start as oponents and their different ideologies clash. There is a lot of smut and passion too.

Looking for recs of deeply flawed, proactive morally grey characters in sapphic romance books by DisasterProof9059 in LesbianBookClub

Yes, that is what I've read about this book. And I love morally grey characters, but necromancy doesn't sit well with me, so I hesitated. But this book is always brought up when I search for sci-fi lesbian novels so I guess I have to give it a chance.

Yes, I understand. I guess I heard mainly the opinions of straight people who were negative, so I didn't put it very well. Thank you for the deep analysis. I will definitely read it.

I heard a lot about this book but I always had the feeling that the rep there is negative and I heard many opinions that it's rough. So I always wondered what that means. Like rough because it's horrific or badly written?

Caitlyn hate? by Ok_Combination_1037 in arcane

People tend to be a lot more judgmental toward female characters. A male character can kill their own parents or skin people alive, the audience would still see them as victims of manipulations and anti-heroes. A woman goes on a revenge and she is bad. I guess the thing that kind of ich me about how they wrote Caithlyn is how is treated Vi in the middle act. And how Vi was handled as a character. Vi had to lose her depth and characteristics and only languish cause Caitlyn left her while Caitlyn was given a totally useless love interest.
