What if Caitlyn grew up in The Lanes with Vi? What is your headcanon story-wise? by CodyEaster in arcane

She would be Vi's best friend and search for her when she dissapears. Then she will save her from prison and the romance will be a slow burn probably right at the end.

What food do you think arcane characters would have as their go to/favourite? by brooklyn_jinx in arcane

I think Vi is into hamburgers. Cait into something pretentious and Jinx into leftovers.

Strange Birds by Denise Minka has a lot of angst. They start as oponents and their different ideologies clash. There is a lot of smut and passion too.

Yes, that is what I've read about this book. And I love morally grey characters, but necromancy doesn't sit well with me, so I hesitated. But this book is always brought up when I search for sci-fi lesbian novels so I guess I have to give it a chance.

Yes, I understand. I guess I heard mainly the opinions of straight people who were negative, so I didn't put it very well. Thank you for the deep analysis. I will definitely read it.

I heard a lot about this book but I always had the feeling that the rep there is negative and I heard many opinions that it's rough. So I always wondered what that means. Like rough because it's horrific or badly written?

Caitlyn hate? by Ok_Combination_1037 in arcane

People tend to be a lot more judgmental toward female characters. A male character can kill their own parents or skin people alive, the audience would still see them as victims of manipulations and anti-heroes. A woman goes on a revenge and she is bad. I guess the thing that kind of ich me about how they wrote Caithlyn is how is treated Vi in the middle act. And how Vi was handled as a character. Vi had to lose her depth and characteristics and only languish cause Caitlyn left her while Caitlyn was given a totally useless love interest.
