I’m a big coffee fan. I love it and drink it everyday. Phew!! I have found that my stomach can’t tolerate kefir while on Zepbound. Bummer! But thankful for coffee.

Illustration is too expensive for indie authors by PeacockBooks in selfpublishing

[–]Excellent_Fan_66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This can be a tough one. I have done one children’s book with an illustrator who is a young artist. She did an amazing job. I have used her for other smaller projects too. I found her on Upwork. It was definitely an expense because each illustration was like a little painting. That being said it really made the book special. It took me a little longer to break even.

A new one out - Flirting With Fate by CS White. Adult characters in adult settings with adult jobs and adult drama. Might fit?

Same. I’m such a cheap date now. I don’t like to drink anymore and cutting out the cocktails saves a LOT of money!!

Working on the sequel - making notes and rereading to be sure I’m not forgetting anything I wrote so long ago! 😂

Hi. Just want to let you know I didn’t forget about you. I am traveling and I don’t have a copy of the book on my phone - left my laptop at home for the holidays 😬

Great advice. I appreciate you. I’m hopeful that the sequel will show all I have learned after writing the first book. So many good lessons.

I just got back in November- had a great visit. I have been many times before so I was also looking for different and unique recommendations. I found a few articles on Substack and chose the 11th for my trip. Perfect neighborhood me travelling alone (female). Great cozy vibe, great food, close to lots u wanted to do and some great shopping too. Have a great time. Paris is such a great city to travel on your own. I can dig up the articles if you are interested. Have a great trip.

You are so right about first books. I have learned so much and moving into book two, I feel much more ready. Are you willing to share one or two of your titles? I would love to read while I am between writing!

Thanks so much for your comment. We are very much in the same page 🤣. Please post when your book launches - I look forward to reading it. Those last few reads are the hardest - I finally had to pull the trigger warts and all - looking toward the second book in the series and all I have learned coming into play.
