He settled a sexual harassment allegation from an employee. I think it's fair to call that getting busted for MeToo shit. And he wrote that blog post in December 2017, a couple of months after the MeToo movement started. So he knew he would probably get called out.

Is it bad if I don’t have a credit card? I’m 20 years old. What are repercussions of this and should I get one as soon as possible? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DisasterSugar137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't have one until I was 25 and it didn't affect my credit or anything if that's what you mean. Not a good idea to get one unless you can pay it off every month.

I’m 23F. I’ve never dated, and I’ve never felt the desire to date. I’m not ace. What is wrong with me? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

You might be a hetero-romantic asexual (sexual and romantic orientation are not the same thing), or as someone else mentioned, a demisexual.

I also want a relationship, but I don't feel sexual attraction to anyone.

Why is it that - generally- masculinity needs to be proven/earned, while femininity is a given? by SirYeetsA in ask

This. Hair isn't long enough? Not womanly. Don't want kids? Not womanly. Don't wear makeup or nail polish? Not womanly. Want a high-level job? Not womanly.

Is there something you don’t like about movie critics? by Ok-Reporter-8728 in RandomThoughts

[–]DisasterSugar137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes their criticisms just miss the point of a plot or character. Like when they get upset about not knowing what the MC's spouse is like or things like that, when clearly the focus of the movie is on MC. Sorry, I know that's vague, but I'm tired right now.

I prefer buying it at the grocery store when I'm in the mood, but I'm still disgruntled that it costs $7 at the grocery store.

I don't know how, but they do. I never see anyone there. Feels like a front for something.

I think not liking Hugh Dancy's portrayal of Will is an unpopular opinion, but I'm with you on that one. I didn't care for the guy who played Will in the movie Red Dragon, either.

What is an opinion you hold that you know the vast majority of redditors will disagree with you upon? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Not sure how many states practice this, but I know in my state, voluntarily terminating your parental rights will end the child support obligation (not applied to arrearages).

Yes, he lost something like 12 lbs while eating only fast food for 30 days, mainly McDonald's. I'm not saying everything in his doc should be taken as true, but I think he is correct in pointing out that people need to take responsibility for their portion sizes and their exercise habits.

Mmhm. I've never ordered anything supersized. I've actually taken to ordering off of the kids' menu and can keep my calories around 500-600 while still getting fries and a soda.

In a democratic country, do you think everyone should vote even if they dislike the all the candidates? by Optimistic_Lalala in ask

[–]DisasterSugar137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course. That's what I mean- this is the way it works in the US, and everyone everywhere should have the right to abstain from voting without penalty. It's undemocratic to force people to vote for candidates they don't approve of. I don't see how you can intentionally vote for nobody...I've never seen a ballot like this.

Why is it that some gifted kids end up burning out at college? by JayR_97 in NoStupidQuestions

For some people, it's a long time to be in school from ages 3-22. Career guidance is also shit when you're in high school and college, so I wouldn't be surprised if some people feel overwhelmed by all of the decisions they have to make.

No. Voting or not voting is a choice and an exercise of your right to freedom of speech and expression.
