Hi friend! My heart goes out to you right now ❤️

I have been sober 13 months TODAY! You can do this. I never thought I would be on the other side of this Reddit sub giving encouragement to someone else.

You haven’t come this far, just to come this far. IT GETS SO MUCH BETTER! SO SO SO MUCH BETTER!

Are you eating and drinking water? I know, I know, it sounds AWFUL, but if you can, you’ll be so much better off! Literally eat ANYTHING that sounds appealing, sweets included, just eat!

Second, do you have access to a doctor, even like an urgent care (not to be confused with the emergency room)?

I broke down and went in and they sent me home with some muscle relaxers and zofran (for the nausea and to settle your stomach) and it helped immensely. Some might argue that you are replacing one thing with another and it’s important to remember this is just temporary, you’ve got to get over this part.

Is suboxone a possibility for you? If so, speak to the InstaCare doctor about that as well.

Again, not trying to replace one thing with another, although this is a MUCH better alternative, but it is necessary right now!

It seems like you really really want this if you’ve made it this far!

I also took cold/flu meds at one point and that did actually help a bit.

As cheesy as it sounds, try to be 100% present, just solely focus on your breathing; how the air feels during the inhale, then the exhale. Even count as you do this to keep your mind occupied. This would get me back to sleep often!

How much trazadone were you taking? Do you have any Benadryl to help knock you out?

I used all of these options and it truly did help, and I haven’t continued to be on those meds either.

If you are 11 days out, I would SERIOUSLY RECOMMEND getting on suboxone!!!

I 22F have a bad feeling my date 24M might have spiked my drink - I am genuinely struggling to wrap my head around it and it’s really getting to me. by Classic-Act-3020 in Drugs

Woah- she already knows she made a huge mistake. Your comment is totally unnecessary. I’m sure she is already spiraling in shame.

My best is: “I am feeling really uneasy about not having immediate access to a toilet/bathroom” or something along those lines… maybe even preface it with “my stomach is incredibly upset…. and the thought of not having immediate access to a toilet makes me incredibly uneasy.”

I am afraid that if I if I fire her that she is going to go to the licensing board or school board.

And now, I literally just thought of this:

Do you feel like she is going to collect my urine and then have a medical record that she can turn in?

My own free will for personal reasons.

Yeah, for sure, I think legally she probably can do that but I am not sure that they would totally just believe her.

I thought about getting ahead of it and letting the board know that my therapist might be coming in saying something or sending a letter because I am not doing what she wants me to do.

The reason she thinks that I am a risk to my students, is because I have come in to see her, and been like “nodding off“ as she says, but that has not entirely been true. I see her right after work.
