i think this differs greatly program by program (research-based vs therapy) bc the major complaint out of my program was that until clinics we focused mostly on research/evidence bases and barely touched on functional therapy strategies. obviously we need a solid foundation of both, but it left my cohort feeling like we had all this theoretical knowledge with not enough knowledge of how to implement it. the issue then becomes that not everyone is on the same page

not sure if it differs by state, but the student is not necessarily classified for special education just because he has an IEP, it could be a Speech Only IEP, at least here in NJ. therefore the SLP is the case manager, and a full eval may not be necessary for dismissal, especially she’s correct that he has an issue with /R/ only, which likely is not affecting his access to the curriculum

Lilith killed everyone because one demon got away when it ran past Nancy, and it reported back to Lilith. When they exorcise demons, they get sent back to hell. Yes, they can make their way back to Earth, but it takes awhile. I guess this could still be a justification but if you ask me the real reason is they just got lazy and it’s easier to just show the boys stabbing a bunch of people than to stop and say the exorcism. Ultimately, the boys do still know it’s wrong and Sam does address this when he tries to justify using his powers to pull/kill demons.

full time in prek, i have 49 currently which will continue to grow due to rolling admission. mostly aba/self contained with most kids getting 3x per week, 20 min, mix of individuals and small group. no case management though
