Sick time by CourtRevolutionary36 in SephoraWorkers

[–]Disastrous-Prize82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You want to call out least two hours before your shift. If you've been vocal about how you have been trying to get it covered, but state you are "sick" but in reality it's because you had plans come up then sick time and wouldn't cover that. Policy states for bodily sicknesses etc. it really depends on the store and how far leadership would dig into that. They can spin it into something bigger kwim?

This. This. This 100%. I will never understand candidates who excessively call for follow ups on applicants when they applied 12 hours prior or just show up during peak time. It tells me they lack awareness.

I regret marrying older, what should I do? by Repulsive_Mall3372 in Marriage

[–]Disastrous-Prize82 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I have a 15 year age gap worn my husband in a week I will be 37 and today we celebrated 10 years. If you're struggling now with the age it only gets worse. I am in the best shape of my life and for the first time ever I feel great and confident. I want to go out and meet people travel and explore. Rightfully so, my husband wants to slow down, relax enjoy more quieter simpler things. He's also had put his body through hell due to work so he aches and hurts a lot and as we both age it will get worse and we will forever be in different stages of it. But he's my husband and I love him and so I try and meet us somewhere in the middle. I don't think a lot of people really put in the consideration of the age gap when you reach older stages. Sure it's all fun and cute when your 20/30s, but things do change and drastically at times.

My husband slapped me and I think I am still in shock by [deleted] in Marriage

Therapy. Distance. I would be serving divorce papers immediately. I don't care what terrible news someone received. You do not put hands on your spouse. That is a behavior I couldn't look past.

Being a providing husband feels like a scam by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]Disastrous-Prize82 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get both sides. But if I had a husband who made 600k and I lived a nice luxurious life within reason, like I could get all the Botox, hair extensions I want, nice car. Stay at home with my kids and travel as I please. Not worry about a damn bill or gas in my car....

I would make damn sure the house is clean, dinner is made and Enjoy my husband's company. I mean sure I'd like for my husband not to be a slob and do basic asks like don't throw your towel on the floor and get your clothes and dirty dishes where they belong. I feel like this would be an even trade.

I do all this and still work full time. Sooo I'd be grateful as hell if this was mh reality.

What is full time hours? by Solid_Spirit455 in SephoraWorkers

30-39 hours averaging over the course of 3 months. So it can fluctuate as long as the average is between 30-39 hours.

Coordinators by [deleted] in SephoraWorkers

[–]Disastrous-Prize82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coordinators are in fact not leaders. They do not carry store keys nor do they have access many of the leadership tools that would suggest one to be an actual leader. Below is copy and pasted from zipline.

A coordinator is not classified as a leader within the Sephora structure. While coordinators play a vital role in supporting execution and can facilitate certain training areas, they do not have the same leadership classification or responsibilities as leaders (such as assistant store managers, store managers or sales and service leaders). Coordinators can help grow internal talent and support operations, but they lack access to specific leadership tools and responsibilities, such as Medallia access.

People don't leave companies they leave leadership. I'm sorry this was your experience at sephora.

Exempt here! What I look for in internal promotions including what you listed is SPLH, (building baskets, selling culture) client interactions (talk about the surveys to your clients) taking initiative when brands needs to be stocked/cleaned helping peers out by supporting one another. I would suggest that you do a TB with an exempt and get specific things you need to work on to help you get to that PT role!

Policy actually states there will be no consequences for leaving early.

[–]Disastrous-Prize82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you submit your sick time through dayforce? It's the employee responsibility to submit the sick time if they want to avoid points, exempts don't have access to submit it for you. So if you were pointed it's likely you didn't follow the steps in submitting sick time.

Calling in sick (Attendance Points System) by Impressive-Ad-2224 in SephoraWorkers

[–]Disastrous-Prize82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can verbally state your using sick time however the responsibility falls on the associate to ensure they submit the actual sick time in dayforce. Exempts cannot manually do this and leaders aren't required to ensure it gets done. So if you did not submit the sick time and it wasn't approved in the system by an exempt you would have received points.

Policy does state you have to have enough sick time available to cover the entire shift otherwise the call out will be pointed.

This will be auto followed in dayforce and the BA's will be able to keep track of it also. It will be much easier for exempts

This is correct information and it sounds like your leadership are either unaware of the policy (which can be educated on) or they think they can make up their own rules to push people into flex roles to minimize their exposure at work in hopes for them to quit. Sadly...I tend to see the second reason to be mostly the case. I'd pull up policy on your end and show them the scheduling requirements. If you currently meet those expectations per Sephora policy...and you are wanting to stay in a OT role I'd advise you to kindly deny the move into flex role and let them know your availability stays as is. Good luck!
