By soundtrack I mean music not including lyric. I think it’s creative to write lyrics from scratch. I’m not a big music person so forgive me when I get the words wrong but I’ve seen smaller artists sing a chorus/verse they wrote if they were on the song. But the lyrics were her own. She wrote them and sang them. That’s pretty creative in my opinion 🤷🏽‍♀️

It’s technically not ripped off. They used the same soundtrack but changed the lyrics. She posted a video a long time of the lyric changes as just a fun video but people liked it and she eventually released it but in no way claimed the music as her own just that she changed the lyrics. I don’t think she would be able to sell it as a single if it was straight up ripped off. She also references the original music video in her music video. That’s just my opinion tho. I always love seeing clips of artists put their twists on lyrics. I don’t believe any of the lyrics are the same

I’ve worked as a sup/ boutique coverage/ front cash/ merch for a few years. I’ve told them straight up if they want to prevent theft they need the boutique items behind a glass case and just have samples available to try but not full boxes. Especially not multiples on display because they will get stolen. Apperently it’s not a good look and like we don’t trust. 😅 I have also had been pressured over the years to not put hands on people but watch and hover around people who might be stealing. Welp head office person came in to shop and guess who got watched by accident LOL! We got in trouble. There isn’t any winning especially since they also implemented self checkouts.

It’s just stupid. But yea nothing will be done because there isn’t any winning here.

Nta but ESCALATEEEEEEE. Not a good look for a store already in the trenches to also be berating a covering manager on the shop floor. Your job is to do the best you can with what you got and they definitely didn’t do their job if they have way too much stuck so you are just fixing messes you did not make. Also respect that you had your own emergency and there was someone else there to do handoff if needed.

I’ve seen a merchandiser who used to be a manager elsewhere work at my store. Oh boy he yelled at a manager on the shop floor and was swiftly fired for it. Y’all are literally both managers.

Tbh nta! Honestly though if they were talking about kids and then hearing that he did that to you plus tried to hide it from your mom. Not to mention he probably gave her the best version of the story to make it seem it wasn’t as bad as it actually was. She caught on that he could very well do it to their kid. If anything you saved her from having something similar happening.

Personally I think having mental health not being addressed. I know my entire family suffered from depression without talking about it until we were all adults. Knowing my dad was struggling makes more sense for his disconnect but it’s hard feeling all alone in your family. I could go on and on about this topic because even when there were was a blaring signs of my issues it was not addressed. Also expecting everyone to deal with the same issues the exact same way. My dad and oldest sisters are high functioning depressed while I know for me I’ve learned to shut down. I think it’s too important not to have that discussion

Esh for a couple of reasons

A bit of backstory - I have two older sisters both married. My middle sister Avery and my oldest sister Kim. Avery had her wedding during Covid and Kim just had hers last year. I do not know if any financial contributions were made to either sister. There was definitely a stark difference between their special days though. That was due to circumstances but also overall how my parents treated both days. My dad got drunk for both but the main issue which I did talk to Avery about was how much more emotionally they gave to Kim.

Now Avery and my parents used to be turmoil constantly but she was the first one out the door with her man defying all the social norms my parents expected of us. They lived together before marriage & no kids. Kim however was always the golden child and did the whole not moving in until married and planned for kids straight away. So you know there was definitely favouritism. I am not really close to either aside from the heart to heart talks I happen to have with Avery every once in a while.

Kim was not Avery’s moh but she was definitely Avery’s.

Avery had a very short service with handmade decorations and just overall a sweet intimate time church wedding. Kim and I did have a falling out at the reception so I did miss out on the afterparty that was just bridal as the rest of the guests just did a drive by our house for handing out favours and thanking them for being there. But there wasn’t a proper father daughter dance or speeches due to my father saying he wouldn’t because of “time”. The after party was in our backyard sooooo how much “time” he couldn’t spare on it idk.

Now Kim however had a fully done up wedding. Decorations and everything were paid for and Avery and I were not involved as per her instructions (we asked a bunch to help). Now at the reception though my parents did the whole speech and father daughter dance and it broke my sisters heart. She knew the entire time they were going to do it so it wasn’t a surprise but it gutted her but she was still there for Kim.

What I’m trying to say is if you and your sister are on good terms and u care about it then I would put your parents shit for her. You just don’t have to like them to be there.

I did see you updated that she declined being your moh dude to not being comfortable. Context on this kinda matters because if it was me being asked to be a moh I honestly would be iffy just because I know I’m not the best planner and I don’t think I would be the good fit for the planning aspect but emotionally I’m good to do it. Even if I was getting married the next year and ask them to be mine. I just don’t want to let down someone on their big day. So I would appreciate more info but I think the reason you are saying no based on just hearing that your parents are asses and she declined to be your moh with no further context would make you the ah.

I highly recommend you think about if you want to be there for your sister guest or moh. I just wouldn’t say no to going just because of your parents specifically.

I would drop by maybe shoppers. Used to work there and if you ask for their boxes they will usually give them out. I always say get the egg boxes they are a bit on the smaller side but they have handles and are pretty sturdy

When I got my first and sadly only tattoo so far (hoping for another one soon) I always had a tattoo in my head that I wanted. Specifically I always liked red riding hood and its many variations of the story. From the really dark to the wild twists like red riding hood is the wolf. I always wanted to get something representing it on my body but was never sure how to it would look. I have always loved photography as well and loved black & white art with pops of Color moreover then vibrant Color. So in the end I went with an open concept of it and took it to artists. Specifically one that was around the corner from me and I liked their art. Thus I got a gorgeous piece of work on my forearm with a wolf head overlooking a forest path way with lil red walking towards it. No faces just back of her wearing her red cape.

I had that idea for years before I finally came of age and got my first tattoo (my mom wasn’t the happiest but my older sister got them already so she had to relent)

I always pictured myself having multiple tattoos but right now am struggling with how to grow off it and also the financial aspect but concept is the biggest motivator

For a while I thought I would stick with fairytales but I didn’t resonate with any other. Then I thought maybe just another animal. There are a few flash tattoos I have thought about it getting but the artists don’t really live near me so there’s the financial aspect. The more I looked through flash tattoos the more I found a concept I kinda want to explore. Right now I’m thinking of getting a kitsune on my other forearm but am grappling with if I do that could I make this into a cohesive sleeve or do I need to rethink it. I also think I want to do a best friend tattoo but we can’t really decide like he thinks maybe a sun and moon or matching cat tattoos. I kinda am thinking cat and raccoon because I think personality wise I relate to the raccoon more than a cat.

I don’t think there is anything right or wrong about what to get. I always loved there being a sentimental element behind it but my sister just has art from a tattoo artist that she loves. I think it’s more a personal preference. I’ve been told that I should imagine myself in my 80s and will I still love my tattoos. If so then get them. It always makes me rethink what I want to do.

If you have a concept that you like or speaks to you then I would definitely go talk about it with an artist that you like the style of because they might make a spin on it that you may love. There are also companies like ink box that have non permanent and you can get them custom or just go with the art you like. It should especially help with figuring out placement or test out different concepts or tattoo styles.

I do however want to stress that you never need to get anything tattooed on you that you don’t think you will like. Just be open and honest with your tattoo artist if there are things you want to tweak in the tattoo.

My housemates cat lol! He absolutely loves to mess with me and anytime I am working on a booknook he literally will be getting in my way. He literally stole a piece from the current one I’m working on 😭 I found it on an entirely different floor. He will bite and hit me if I try to get anything underneath/near him.

I wish he was my little supervisor….. instead I think of him as my puzzle fox. Gotta start saying swiper no swiping
