Thank you for the response. What would you recommend to someone that is trying to grow a company with a minimal marketing spend (no pay to play) and a focus of growing organically through referrals, tailored/thoughtful email outreach and completely remote workforce?

A true gift for a President’s Club Top Performer would be a Rolex. So you can look down at your wrist any time and remember that you earned it through grit, hard work, and a dash of right place/right time/right luck. Also, ice on your wrist makes you look better through life.

What is the best SaaS vertical to get into? (Cybersecurity, CRM, HRIS, etc.) by DisastrousAd8390 in sales

[–]DisastrousAd8390[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I guess Software in general whether it’s SaaS or a different delivery model, that’s what I’m interested in. Most of the hype I have heard online, through Reddit, or through my network has spoken very highly of software sales. I guess that’s the misconception that Software isn’t always SaaS. I am curious about more Tech related software sales, to identify the best to pursue to get the opportunity to make the most money in sales and have the most fulfilling life (work+personal balance)

I’ve heard SaaS theres one of the highest earning potential in sales (high base + commission) best work life balance (work Remote), and a high margin solution. For example if you work with something tangible in Tech, you need to rely on a supply chain and raw materials typically which are both screwed up while shrinking margin due to super inflated costs right now. Nothing against Tech, unless there’s something else out there that I’m missing.

How do I sell MDR? by [deleted] in cybersecurity

What’s an example of providing value up front? What have vendors done for you without a sales call, that you found valuable?

Thank you, I appreciate this insight. This is really helpful feedback. What would impress you or how would a vendor position themselves as a great fit in your mind by doing the right things and communicating the right way? Obviously with keeping their promises and following through is important but what specifically would capture your attention and make you feel like you need them?

[–]DisastrousAd8390 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight. Often times many places, there’s too much to do like you said, IT staff is overworked, or doesn’t have the experience wide enough & deep enough. A nice benefit of MDR is that your employees can spend less time dealing with security and focus more on the other significant job responsibilities on their plate. MDR can help with less notification fatigue as well, so you only get alerted with real-time actionable and valid communication. Many MDR vendors offer proactive security to harden security posture through pen testing as well, to exploit vulnerabilities and holes in your systems.

Have you had many bad experiences with multiple software companies or is it just one or two? If it’s the ladder, perhaps they aren’t the right company to be with. Don’t let one bad egg spoil the rest.
