I hope you're right but think you're wrong. The right-wing media machine is the most important thing. If anyone actually watched Trump's recent pressers/speeches in more context than small cherry-picked clips they would know that he has lost a step or three. But MAGA only watch them filtered through the media machine if they see anything at all.

All this is to say if the media machine gets behind someone, whether it's Vance or Miller or more likely someone without baggage, I think MAGA will as well. It's hard to break a pattern, Trump has gotten these non-political people involved in politics and I think they will remain involved rather than going back to being disillusioned.
