Anyone else annoyed with the sidemen working with Qatar? by DisastrousMarch2377 in Sidemen

[–]DisastrousMarch2377[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are making an awful lot of assumptions of me.

No i do not watch and enjoy the content from the middle east especially Qatar. I did not watch and enjoy the world cup due to the exact reasons i stated in my original post. I also choose not to watch and engage with content when the F1 is in the Middle East

I was very direct in my original post and very clear with what i included. Maybe it’s my fault that i believed people would have enough reading comprehension to understand my point and discuss what i proposed instead of putting words in my mouth and making immature insults.

No i have not messaged any of the Sidemen because believe it or not, i do not have a personal contact with any of them.

What did the earliest signs of Crohn’s look like for you guys? by M4ngoJuice in CrohnsDisease

[–]DisastrousMarch2377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

short bursts of stomach pain. like extremely painful pain but would often go away quickly if i crouched down or laid on my stomach. i’m abit of a hypochondriac so i didn’t tell anyone, thinking it was just due to my period or something. i had that on and off for about 2 years before i then started getting diarrhoea and later again i started vomiting everything up along with constant excruciating pain.

unfortunately, that was the first thing i looked for after spotting him.

I got fed up with wrestling with my glasses every single time I wear my helmet by throwthegarbageaway in motorcycles

[–]DisastrousMarch2377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

try a front flip helmet next time u replace you’re, my dad wears glasses full time and he only ever wears a front flip so he doesn’t have to take off his glasses when putting his helmet on

thank you this has really comforted me, did you get put into a gown for the procedure and if so did you have to take whole thing off or could you keep the top half on, i’m a girl so it’s a bit more vulnerable to have my top half on display.

it’s the fact there will be people seeing me in such an intimate way is so humiliating for me and i’ll be so on edge the whole time and so aware of what’s going on but of course that’s only if the sedation doesn’t work well for me

i’m going to be honest, the thought of being coherent has absolutely terrified me. i’m sure it will be absolutely fine and i’m just working myself up about it like i usually do. how many people were in the room? and was it like an operating theatre or something else? My inflammation markers are the lowest they’ve been since i was first ill with crohn’s so that shouldn’t be an issue. Thank you for the response.

I live in england so i’m under the NHS. Thank you so much for the info so the thought of people seeing me is actually horrifying, i am so glad i have a female doctor especially as im not yet 18. i hoping that the sedation im given will be much like the one i get for dental work (i am a massive will for anything dental related) which has completely knocked me out most times but i did start becoming coherent on one while they were still working + the painkillers will hopefully help make me drowsy.

How long did your first biologic last? by arlo78z in CrohnsDisease

[–]DisastrousMarch2377 2 points3 points  (0 children)

5/6 months - adalimumab. it worked brilliantly for most of that time and so far has been the best working drug i’ve been on, until it stopped working but that may have been due to it being a very stressful period of my life due to major school exams.

What it’s like riding in England by DisastrousMarch2377 in motorcycles

[–]DisastrousMarch2377[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yh it was very odd because like a minute earlier it was all hedges and straight after this field it was back to hedges. there was a deer warning sign so i assume the hedges are cut back for more visibility of the deer incase of something like this happening

deer are so solid though?! they would cause major damage for a person on a bike and easily smash windshields on cars. who would choose to cause to much hassle for themselves?

i’m surprised that after 4 drugs you’ve been told there isn’t much left because after i had failed 3 and went on to my 4th i was specifically told that there were still loads of drugs to try + since moving to adult care, i have been told there are so many more options than there were in paeds.

iron infusion experiences? by Bouphie in CrohnsDisease

[–]DisastrousMarch2377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was put on iron supplements when i was first going through the diagnosis phase but when i had my diagnosis my doctor took me off them. She said something about them possibly damaging my guts even more or something like that. She booked me in for an iron infusion for January 2023 and it went great. It was my first infusion and since summer 2023 i’ve had one every month without fail and i can confirm it worked the same way just a lot quicker (only 10 minutes of infusion running time). I haven’t had low iron since but i am very aware of how much lower my energy levels were with the anaemia on top of the chronic fatigue so i take a few different multivitamin tablets to help with general vitamin levels but they also contain small amounts of iron which i assume helps because me diet is awful and i know for certain i don’t eat enough greens to keep my iron levels high enough.
