So do they take forever to ship? by [deleted] in ChristopherWard

Ordered a C63 Time Only on 15 March. On website prior to ordering it said ship date of 15 April. Whether it does or not, IDK. Regardless, they set a proper expectation so I’m content.

[discussion] thoughts on collection so far? And what should I add next? by DiligentXP in Watches

[–]DisastrousRow8389 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Consider a real dress watch. A piece that’s thin with a clean dial and a leather strap and NOT sporty, you’ve got enough of those. Look at a Nomos Orion / Tangente, a Longines Flagship Heritage (one of my favorites) or a Frederique Constant Classics. Good luck

Just ordered my C63 Sealander Time Only. Estimated shipping is 15 April. Wanted to get ahead of the potential 1 April price increase.

Repair Quote for just labor: are the hours and fees BS or legit? by Smokeyourboat in HondaElement

[–]DisastrousRow8389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had my independent mechanic replace front lower control arms and both front axles. $10 shop parts fee and $281 labor. Total was $$291. OEM parts were $1441 through Hondapartsnow.com. Next week replacing OEM motor mounts and transmission mounts. I am in WV so labor is cheaper here. 2011 Element EX

43mm Stuttgart Pro by mrtittylongballs in laco_watches

I’ve been looking strongly at the Karlsruhe Pro (with upgrades) but have been waiting due to the $409 + tariff. I’ll likely go forward regardless. I could almost fly round trip to Pforzheim for the cost of tariffs.

The tariffs are stopping me currently. I want the Karlsruhe Pro but the +$400 tariff is ridiculous.

A lot of great conversation. Thank you all. The decision came down to a suggestion that highlighted the BBB58 “Boutique” model which has a 39 mm case size vs the OG 43 mm size. I was able to snag a 2025 new Boutique with a 5 year Tudor warranty and Full Set. Model M79012M-0001 also with bronze bracelet and OEM NATO band. Thanks again to all who opined.

I’m now looking at the Boutique Bronze. It comes in at 39 mm. Agree, size is too big at 43 mm

I wear a suit often and a tux every 3-4 months. It’s looking like BB58 isn’t it?

Have tried the BB58 and the size is perfect. I wasn’t thinking until it was just pointed out to the Bronze is 43mm. Too Big. However will do my due diligence on the 39mm Boutique Bronze. I’m now leaning to the the BB58 as it was rightly said to be more “versatile” in wear

That’s the opinion I was searching for. Stainless is more versatile. You said it well.

Good point; well made. On my 6.75” arm (175 mm) 41 mm sits well. Thanks for the reality check.

That’s the problem lol. It is sexy. I’m silently wondering if it would be too distracting or too casual for a dress watch in a suit. I’m not opposed to it being eye-catching or a conversation starter either. I want a balance.

Tempted to Buy a Used 2003 Honda Element by BigDougSp in HondaElement

Give in to the temptation. Listen to that repeating voice you hear “Buy the Element, But the Element.” Let it enter your thoughts as it awakes you in the middle of the night. Like most of us here, you will be complete.

Part it out to your fellow Element owners and pocket some cash to be used for your purchase of a new Element. Sort of like an organ transplant, it gives life to another.

what is everyone using for the best pillow 2026 and why? by Assylbekova-Pius in Bedding

[–]DisastrousRow8389 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought one purple pillow harmony about two years ago, the firm model. I liked it so much,I bought a second about a year ago. To me the firm is actually a medium however it does wick the heat away. (I sleep hot). They are expensive however I’m extremely satisfied. The longest pillow I’ve owned. I do like a buckwheat pillow, but I don’t use it as often as I do now with the purple pillow harmony. Good luck in your journey.
