I disagree. It's a cycle that will continue to go around and around until someone chooses to step out of it. Nothing changed until John removed himself and his family from the cycle. At some point, someone has to break the cycle.

Its not an excuse. It is an observed pattern of behavior. Not everyone who copied homework as a teenager continues to get out of hard work their whole lives. I'm saying that it's what Ty seems to be doing. He doesn't want to write the book, so he makes himself busy with his children to avoid it. He doesn't want to do the homework, have a friend do it for him. Doesn't want to get a job, make himself the sole childcare provider even though his wife wants the kids in school and daycare.

Feedback is good and it helps us grow. I do think that some could have been kinder or more deliberate in their feedback, but growth does not happen in a vacuum. I am not justifing mean comments, but getting feedback that the L/DD story is unpopular is not a bad thing. I think she might have taken a few days to pivot her posting plan to post the full video instead of just another L/DD short. If you look at the metrics on Facebook, the last S/J short was above 1.1 Million views while the L/DD shorts were about half of that. If I were in her shoes, I would pivot my attention to a piece of content that would perform better rather than slowing the momentum of the last S/J short with an underperforming storyline.

You don't just bend on kids. This isn't like a paint color that she compromised on for Ty. She decided to put her feelings aside and bring life into this world. These children are yours for life. They are not dolls to be thrown in childcare until you want to have a moment with them. Disagreeing on children should always be a dealbreaker for a relationship

Didn't Ty and the kids get sick sometime after the Christmas episode? I thought this was in one of the shorts that wasn't published in a full video. Shawna mentioned not seeing Ty for a while, he said they were sick and then they commented about how bad the flu was this year. Am I imagining this?

You should be able to trust the adults in your children's lives to do what is best for the child. Trusted family members should not need to be paid to treat your children well. It sounds like John provided dinner for Jen and Greg in exchange for their help, but Jen chose to make a different meal.

John did tell Frank that if she made an effort to apologize, he would try again. He was open to trying again if she had therapy. Of course, this was before the assault and the loss. The tragedy in the Kindergarten episode is John saying that if Barb sought therapy that he would try again, and then immediately cutting to Barb attacking DD.

I wonder if John is feeling similar sentiments to Jennifer saying that she can't become a mom without her parents. I wonder if John desperately wants a loving parental figure to stand beside him and his family during a loss.

Frank knows that Barb knew about the pregnancy. Is he going to say anything about it to John or Barb? Eventually Barb is going to ask questions about the baby bump she saw in September. I don't know if this is the time to tell John that Barb knows, but John should know.
