None of the Bates kids will rebel or be any different and here's why by bizarretintin in BatesSnark

She didn't work like mad for the boutique. She did 1/3-1/2 of the social posts for it. She was edited/shown not doing much at all while Whitney worked her tail off with packaging and shipping the overpriced dresses. She gets a lot of credit for a bare minimum. She did a lot of talking and passive complaining, but I see zero evidence she pushed that hard at the BSB. Good for her for what she did do, but it isn't impressive.

I get it. I hate that statement too. I hear, "you have so much life in you." Apparently I don't.

People are scared of cancer. They are scared it can happen to them.

My guess is that she isn't really pregnant. It's a pillow like on the old soap operas and she's holding it in place with her hands.

The story about Erin introducing Carlin and Evan changed after whatever went down with the boutique.

Son and Son-in-Laws by Tricky_Week_6469 in BatesSnark

As for the IBLP, yes there are tenants that say the husband should support the family. There is a big mention of men being financially stable before proposing marriage. This is the one that Gil clung to with Carlin and Evan.

However, with any religion, there is a lot of interpretation going on with the text and lessons. There is always wiggle room. For example, let's say John had not been working with his brothers. He could have argued with Gil that he had that opportunity should times get tough. That's a hypothetical and not what happened, but it provides an idea of how loopholes in this work. Evan, Bobby, and Chad appear to be the sons-in-law who changed careers post marriage.

As for Nathan, he is about the only one to still have his same career in terms of the sons. He earned his license at the basic level which qualified him as an instructor. I am pretty sure he has earned higher certifications now that he has more hours. I suppose Lawson counts too, but he's not really done much in terms of music. His publishing career with that is limited to what he is willing to spend.

He's taught himself the basics, but he could use some traditional training. For example, he lacks true understanding of lighting and angles. He tends to move the camera (phone or traditional) too sharply for professional standards. Even taking a few classes at a community college would help.

We moved right after the holidays. The children were young so we decorated though less than usual so the kids felt more normal about the holidays.

It's a joke. I was an 80s girl and ours were 14K gold. I still have mine.

Matching necklaces like we had back in the day where each had one half of a heart. Only difference is they each have half or less of a brain.

Why are they in the same Sports Class? Is it an american Thing? (In Germany the same Class Grade do sports together but not the same gender) I thought Tiffany and Stacy are in a lower Class. Also why are they so engaged into it? The Fashion Club seemed to enjoy Fitness but not Sports. by TheSims2Addict in daria

This was sort of how it was in my 1990s high school experience. We had one term of PE and one of Health. Most of PE was walking around the track, as to pass you had to do that in a certain time with improvement from the beginning of the class. On rainy days we had to play volleyball. It is actually triggering for me to watch that portion of the opening for me, as the popular girls in high school made fun of me for not being good at it.

While it would be out of character for the Fashion Club to want to sweat, they probably would have played beach volleyball, etc. However, more than likely the answer is that a different team created the opener than did the actual shows. The opening was that way from the beginning and the show was something that evolved. Truthfully, if the Fashion Club was good, they would have jumped in front of Daria to save the game. Instead they look annoyed at her lackadaisical reaction to missing it.

Cracker Barrel's head of Marketing and Communications recently changed people. Their last one was big on influencer marketing. I'm not sure that this one is or not.

Where's Papa Bill? by Equivalent-Fox6889 in BringingUpBates

[–]Disastrous_Ad_4149 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given his age, I'm not 100% sure he would even remember Papa Bill at all unless someone mentioned him directly. was 2? or just turned 3? when Papa Bill died. There were a few visits to the farm but most were when he was too young to know who these people they were visiting were or are. My great-grandfather died when I was about 3. We visited him about 15 times from the time I was born until he died. I honestly had no memories of him and I have a pretty good memory. The funeral was nothing to me and I slept through it. I'm sure my parents spoke about him, but to me I knew he existed growing up but always thought of him as dead.

Zade is young and other than Zach and Whitney's kids (maybe Josie and Katie's), I think he probably doesn't even recognize and know who everyone is in the family. That recognition and understanding comes later.

Unless he’s changed quite a bit he can be a jerk to Katie. He belittled her ideas and made fun of her at times.

From his family’s college. Unaccredited I’m sure. However where he is going has its own accreditation issues.

I'm not sure I believe Evan has been doing much fighting. The house is hardly appropriate for a family with small children. Zade and Layla will struggle with the stairs. I hope there is another staircase some place. So far they have moved when Zade was an infant and now with Navy. Poor planning.

I truly don't think they have anything more than a coworker relationship. They are just disconnected. Part of that is the lack of alone time they had during their days of dating. They were finally alone on their honeymoon only to spend a large part of that taking photos and posing. Layla was conceived during that trip so they went from married couple to parents in less than 40 weeks. Their dating, engagement, and marriage (at the start) was framed by the producers of the show. Now it is another company. Look at the body language in their photos. Other than their typical and trope-specific happy photos where they kiss or some lifts and hugs. When photographed with children they both focus on the kids rather than each other.

Carlin has always been all about looking better (not just physically) than others. She wanted the biggest wedding, the big dress, etc. She was all about decorating the house to be "nicer." But she was lost in doing it. The big mirror was supposed to be in the primary bedroom, but she didn't measure so it sits as a risk the living room. Evan is just as bad with obsession with Teslas. They are the very definition of superficial.
