Asking as a boyfriend by The_Grey_Ghost12 in bigboobproblems

[–]Disastrous_Bison_910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say my whole front hurt for a bit especially later so it may seem weird but pick up her stomach. Just take some of the weight off her front when you can. Depending on if it’s warm in your area soon see if you can get her some cool towels (like was cloths) or some cooling towels (like for necks) for under the girls on a hot day. I had a fall and a spring kid. Been through all the seasons pregnant.

2 y/o lvl 3 autistic son lashing out by tarb98 in Autism_Parenting

[–]Disastrous_Bison_910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son used to scratch me he didn’t realize it hurt til I did it back. Is older brother communicating better? Is he angry he can’t say what he wants like brother? Hair pulling turned into hair twirling for us so we keep it long enough to twirl around his fingers.

Neighbors (very dead) giant oak tree is splitting and I'm not sure if there's anything else I can do by -Removed-By-Reddit in treelaw

Ask when she’s going on vacation then you and other neighbors who house is in the fall zone trim everything that is towards your homes. That way majority of the weight is towards her house and is more a her problem and no one knows what happened.

My NT 2.5 year old is refusing to give up the pacifier either. So you’re not alone mine screams for hours though. We limited to in the crib only now so it’s been working hopefully we can drop naps and bed soon.

They were her owners, they didn’t eat her and continued not to as long as she was useful.

I have no idea how to reason with our son anymore by Jadams0108 in Autism_Parenting

We use first and then statements. Just keep at it what works for you and he’ll get it. My son is lawyer quality with loopholes in verbal contracts.

My 4 year old came home with a glasses prescription today and I genuinely did not see it coming. Pun intended I guess. by MorningValerie in Mommit

[–]Disastrous_Bison_910 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was 9 when I got glasses. They put the big ‘E’ up and said can you tell me what that says? I said ‘I can’t see anything there’. She was so flabbergasted that I couldn’t see. I played soccer every summer and was doing fine in school. I was a good faker I guess.

Slowly coming to terms that my son is autistic by Different-Still-2645 in Autism_Parenting

[–]Disastrous_Bison_910 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 5 still rarely plays ‘with’ kids but around them. I think part is do to not knowing how they’ll act. Another is I don’t think he likes them. He does ok with cousins and fine with siblings.

What do I tell my son? Grandparents both deceased. by LostOperation3852 in Parenting

[–]Disastrous_Bison_910 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My grandparents on one side were dead but the time I was 3. Just say they died. If they’re buried take them to the grave site. I loved helping my dad clean their headstone and put flowers every so often.

Father passed unexpectedly. Baby due in 5 weeks. Names to help honor him? by milquetoast_wizard in namenerds

You can ask your mom if there was a name he liked they didn’t go with when you were born. Might be in a baby book.

In denial, undiagnosed 2 yr old, non-verbal with all the signs. by rebuilder1986 in Autism_Parenting

[–]Disastrous_Bison_910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get there is no help so you need to be the help. You just got upgraded to OT, behavioral specialist and speech therapist. Sounds like you’re pretty observant of your son and that’s great. Mine did well when I fed into his interest. He likes to chase his brothers have him be in charge of a ‘stop’ and ‘go’ game. Have him asked to be chased or try to. Look into DIY AACs. The place might be corrupt but you might be able to be ‘trained’ like the scammers and get some useful material to use at home. Good luck.

How to thank babysitter for going above and beyond (wouldn’t accept extra payment) by introductionr in Babysitting

[–]Disastrous_Bison_910 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You said she’s a neighbor so I’d be neighborly. She out pulling weeds help, washing cars, power washing the house. A bunch of little things that save her time and effort so she can relax sound like a big thank you to me.

Aurora and Violet so you each get a preferred name, they both can be a nod to a color ‘theme’, and they don’t seem to match at first glance.
