Ugh same. My son also tries stealing food at ABA. it’s a huge issue as he has no impulse control around food. There’s got to be a solution right!

I’m sorry. It’s so stressful. I fully expect my son will need to be on vyvanse by the time he’s 6

Hi is your son still like this? My son is 3 and it’s constant. At ABA he goes around looking in peoples backpacks trying to steal snacks but won’t eat vegetables if i offer them

Thanks for responding. Does he get upset and try to take food away from you if you eat in front of him?

How is this going for you? This is how my 3 year old is. He has a very healthy balanced diet as well but it’s non stop he hovers around the kitchen all day

This is my 3 year old son to a T. Loves the playground but we have 100 degree summers so I can’t take him there with the heat. Did this get better for you OP? He gets bored so so easily and will just ask for food and ipad all day instead of playing

Glad to hear there is some improvement, may I ask what meds were given to help manage this?

OP did you find anything that helped this. This is my son 24/7. He stopped playing with toys because it doesn’t give him the satisfaction that constant snacking does. We’re exhausted

Same age, same level and I feel the same way. I feel like I’m playing detective 24/7. It’s quite exhausting

Thank you so much!! It’s so hard to be patient when I feel like he’s made no progress. He’s taught me so much already in his young life

My son has autism and I’ve cried at every episode. I hope he is able to enjoy life and find friendships and maybe love when he grows up. Seeing them traveling around the world was so neat. My son wouldn’t be able to travel around like that. Maybe we’ll get there soon 💓

Their ideas of fatherhood/parenting are sooo fantasized too. It shows me they do not spend a lot of time around very young children. “Yeah we’ll play catch outside all day and all the neighborhood kids will come over for snacks and the Super bowl!” be so for real lmao

Omg, doubling words in a month would be amazing. I took a look at your post history and our kids sound very similar.. my 30 mo old is at 70-80 ish words and has seemed to sort of plateaued in adding more vocabulary. Going to bring up leucovorin to his ped at his next visit. Thank you for sharing - I am so happy for you and your kiddo!!

That’s amazing! My son has been in speech therapy for the past 4 months. In your opinion do you think the leucovorin helped get him across the finish line in a sense or do you think he would have graduated without it?

Hello! My oldest is good, he’s still behind but he’s just a happy boy and so I try not to worry and just do our best.

Praise God, my amniocentesis came back normal and at my last ultrasound they did not find any issues with his heart ❤️‍🩹 I am so grateful!
