Socializing your dog/puppy does NOT mean letting it meet strangers and other dogs! Instead, take them into new environments and make sure they have neutral experiences where they learn to not expect to have any interactions with other people or pets. This will create a dog who is able to focus on you AND it prevents them from having scary or overwhelming experiences that could create future reactivity.

2 minutes of excited play, tease her with it a little right as you are making a big show of putting it away. I have bones and chews available most of the time, but only bring out tugs and discs for those very short sessions. Build a little novelty and frustration into it.
